Hey, sorry it's been a while. Here's the next chapter. Hope you enjoy!

I pulled up infront of Jennifer's house. I could hear the dog barking. I guess he heard me too.

I sat in my car in silence. A part of me didn't want to go in there. I was scared I had said something that could damage our relationship. A couple days in and drunk me had already played a role in the relationship.

Suddenly, her front door opened. She stood there, in the doorway. Smiling at me. That was a good sign. I opened my door and got out of my car. I closed the door and made my way to her house.

"I am, SO, sorry about last night." I said as I reached her.

She laughed and kissed me.

"I'm glad to see you walking on two feet." She laughed.

"Me too. With a headache like this I'm surprised I didn't wake up in a hospital."

We laughed as I hugged her.

I closed the door behind me.

"So." I looked at her.

"So?" She grinned at me.

"What did I say?" I said sitting on the couch.

"Well." She sat on my lap. "We were talking in the car and you were talking about how happy you've been since you've met me. And how you didn't know what you would do without me."

"Thank god I didn't say anything bad!" I laughed.

"You did mention visiting your family."

I froze.

"I told you I was gonna ask to bring you didn't I?" I whispered

"Yeah. It was a nice suprise though." She smiled

"Well? Do you want to come with me? It's ok if you don't want to, it's understandable. It's a huge milestone. Meeting the parents." I lowered my head.

"No it's not, that's always exagerated in every love story." She placed her hand on my chin and lifted my face so we were facing one another.

"Let's go see your parents." She kissed me and ran upstairs.

"What're you doing?" I asked her loud enough for her to hear from upstairs.

"Packing!" She answered "Is it too quick?"

"Well. We'd be a day early if we leave today but it's fine. I could show you around Montréal!" I said.

She came downstairs carrying her bag.

"I'm ready!" She smiled.

"Awesome! Let's go to my house, get my stuff, then get on the road!" I kissed her cheek and opened the door.

We pulled up infront of my parents' place. I looked at the home I grew up in.

"It's weird to see this old place again." I whispered.

Jennifer put her hand on mine.

"This'll be fun. Let's go." Jennifer said as she practically hopped out of the car.

I got out and left our bags in the car.

I grabbed Jennifer's hand and we walked to the front door. She reached for the doorbell but didn't press the button. Her hand was shaking.

"Nervous?" I laughed

"Not at all." She pressed the button and took a deep breath.

From the inside of the house, we could hear my dad coming to the door.

"I swear, if another little 11 year old girl tries to sell me those vegan cookies-" he opened the door. "Jack!"

My father pulled me into a hug. He let go and turned to Jennifer.

"You must be the special lady!" He smiled

"Who is it, honey?" My mom called from the living room.

"Come see for yourself!" He answered.

My mom poked her head into the hall and screamed.

"Sweety!" Ran down the hall and hugged me.

"Mom, dad, It's good to see you but it's cold out, can we move this to inside the house?" I suggested.

"Of course, of course." My mom nodded her head.

Nostalgia washed over me as I walked in. My childhood home right in front of my eyes again.

My mom took our coats and brought us into the kitchen where we sat around the table with coffees.

"So how did you guys meet?" My mother asked pointing and me and Jennifer.

"Well." Jennifer said "We met at a coffee shop. I sat at Jack's table and well we spoke. A lot. For hours. After a while, we walked home together and well.. yeah."

"You didn't have sex on the first date, did you?" My mother asked me with a death-stare.

I slammed my head on the table.

"No, mom." I muttered under my breath.

Jennifer laughed and turned to my mom.

"Your son is a gentleman." Jennifer said. "He hasn't even layed a finger on me."

"Come on son, I taught you better than that!" My dad turned to me.

My head still being on the table, I lifted it just enough to slam back down again.

Everyone laughed. Jennifer included. How was she not mortified by my parents?

"Well then." I lifted my head. "We should get unpacked."

I got up out of my chair and went to the car.

"You can put your bags in the guest room!" My mom informed me.

I stopped and turned.

"Guest room?" I asked

"Yeah. You're old room is the guest room now." She answered.

"Oh okay."

I made my way to the car and began unpacking our bags in the room. I was starting to think this visit might be a mistake. I remember my parents being embarrassing but they never used to mention sex with the girls I brought home.

Aside from the embarrassment, I'm glad my parents could meet Jennifer. The girl I somehow knew I would marry in the end.
