I realized I lied. The POV isn't going to change. I am going to try and keep it to one person.
--------------------------------------------I had fallen asleep in one of the chairs by the bed. Someone tapped my shoulder to wake me up. I lazily opened my eyes to see Kendra smiling like crazy. I smiled back.
"Hey...."
"Hi!!! I get to go home today!"
"Really?! Already?!"
I stood up quickly, now fully awake. She smiled and nodded. I couldn't help but hug her. She hugged back but we quickly stopped when someone cleared their throat dramatically. We looked to see the doctor.
"Do you have everything?"
"Yes."
"Do you have a way of getting home?"
"Oh umm.... I can call my friend and ask him to pick us up."
The doctor nodded and asked us to follow her. She lead us all the way to the entrance, said goodbye, and went back to what she was doing. I pulled out my phone and called Wade. It took him so long to answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey Wade. I was wondering if you could come pick me up."
"Yeah, sure. Where are you?"
"The hospital."
There was a long pause.
"Why the heck are you at the hospital?!"
"Someone upstairs at the apartment got hurt."
Wade was then frantic.
"A-alright. I'll be there ASAP!"
"Wade stop freaking out."
I hung up with that and waited for Wade.
*20 minutes later*
We sat on a bench near by until we saw Wade's car. Before he got there, Kendra looked very nervous.
"Hey, you ok?"
I asked her. She leaned towards me making me know she wasn't.
"What's wrong, Kendra?"
She looked up at me. She had to since she was kind of short.
"I'm just so nervous being around you and your friends...."
I forgot she knew my channel so of course she would be nervous. Wade pulled up and smiled nervously.
"Sorry it took so long Mark. There was traffic for some reason."
"It's ok Wade."
I rolled my eyes and opened the back door for Kendra.
"Do you want me to sit back there with you?"
I asked her when she sat down. She slowly nodded and scooted over. I sat with her and she smiled.
"How old are you exactly?"
Wade asked, turning towards Kendra.
"16...."
Wade looked at me and I was looking at Kendra but she was staring out the window. She didn't look 16. She look about 18 to be honest. She turned towards me and started to blush.
"W-why're you staring at me?!"
She said while turning away again.
"Oh sorry.... It just surprised me. You look about 18."
She whipped her head back towards me and stared at me straight in the eyes. Wade cleared his throat.
"So is she staying with you now Mark?"
Wade asked uncomfortable from what happened before and started to drive back to my apartment.
"Yeah."
*10 minutes later*
Once we got there and got out of the car, I said bye to Wade as he drove off. I looked at Kendra and she looked scared again. I tapped her shoulder and smiled at her when she turned. She started to smile also.
"When we get to my apartment, do you wanna play video games?"
She nodded.
"I'll beat you at most games."
She said triumphantly.
"Don't get too cocky."
I told her as we walked inside. We got to my apartment she relaxed on the couch. I got the game ready. I decided to put in GTA 5. I saw, out of the corner of my eye, Kendra turn her head towards the TV and smile. That ended up making me smile. I grabbed the controllers and handed one to Kendra. She looked eager to play. I had a question stuck on my mind since we had gotten in the car so I decided to ask now.
"Don't you go to school? Cause you are only 16..."
She looked away from me.
"I usually skip school...."
"Why?"
"Because... I walk there and I am always late and I'd get detentions for no reason."
"Maybe some were for being late... How many days have you skipped?"
Only like three or four.... Why?"
"I can take you to school so you aren't late and we can just send in a note with you that said you hadn't been feeling well those three or four days."
She looked me straight in the eyes.
"What?"
"Are you going to pick me up too?"
I nodded to her.
"And you can tell me how your day was!"
I smiled at her and she smiled back. She turned towards the TV again and started smirking.
"Now let's play this. We could play online. I love randomly killing people then like starting a killing war. It's pretty fun on here."
I laughed.
"Alright. Let's play then."
*3 hours later*
I turned off the console and looked at the time. It was noon. Kendra looked extremely bored now.
"What do you want to do now?"
I asked her. She shrugged. I walked over and leaned over the couch to look at her. She was on her phone and jumped and instantly dropped it on her chest once she noticed me. I smiled and she pushed me away.
"You scared me!"
"Sorry, sorry."
I said as I moved. I yawned and stretched.
"You wanna go somewhere and do something? We could go to the movies and watch something then go out to eat."
Kendra sat up and looked like she was thinking about it.
"Sure! That'd be fun!"
I smiled at her.
"Will you go with me to get some of my clothed from my room?"
"Sure."
*10 minutes later*
After we got back to my room and had some of Kendra's clothes, she asked where the bathroom was so she could take a shower. I showed her.
"Would you stand by the door so I can talk to you? I might take a bath so I can hear you."
"Sure I'll stay right here."
She walked into the bathroom but peeked her head out again.
"I'm not going to have the door locked so please don't open it."
"I won't open it."
I assured her. She smiled, closed the door, and started the water.
