After a bit of hacking phones, scrolling through contacts upon contacts and not finding one that said Mom, mother, or mommy, and finally figuring out that she had her mom under birth giver, I was able to find her address.
After calling her mom, I fed her a story about us going out on a friendly bowling night with her friends and hanging at my house for a late night movie, and I found out how her mother was about to get on a international flight to Chili, and would be back in about a day.
And after I dropped Cassie off, I carefully changing her clothes, so she wouldn't be sleeping in her skinny jeans. I carried her to her bed and put a glass of water on her bedside table. She didn't wake up through all of this, and it still surprised me. I kept my promise though, and after I went to McDonald's and got chicken nuggets.
After I got on the bus, I didn't know wether to go back and out the chicken nuggets on her bedside table, or wait until tomorrow.
I finally decided to go back and put it in her room, so I asked the bus driver to drop me off right away, and I started walking towards her house. Her house was near a flower shop, and even though I didn't think they would be open this late, I went and tried to open the door.
When the door opened smoothly and a little bell rung above me, I didn't hide my surprise. I looked around the shop, and even though it was tiny, there were about a million different stands with many different flowers. There was even a tree section, where you could pick a tiny tree to take home.
I walked around the store for a bit and finally found some pretty white lilacs to give her. I paid for them quickly and continued to walk to her house.
Once I got there, I opened the door once again, walking in quietly as to not wake up Cassie. I went upstairs and into her room, walked to the bedside table, and put down the chicken nuggets and flowers.
I turned around and saw Cassie sleeping peacefully on her bed. She had a line of drool already on her cheek, her mouth open. She had a cute way of breathing while she slept, breathing in with her nose and breathing out a quick puff out of her mouth.
I figured I was being creepy, so I quietly exited, walking out of the house and to the bus stop, hoping that Mike's parents weren't still awake.

I woke up when my phone started ringing.
I groaned, opening my eyes slowly. I forgot to close the curtains, and the sun blinded me almost immediately. I got up with a creak of the bed, and I picked up the phone.
Cassie was calling me.
For some reason, my stomach started to do jumping jacks, but I ignored it and picked up the phone, bringing it to my ear.
"Did you change my clothes?" Cassie half-spoke, half-yelled into my ear. She sounded panicked, like somebody had done something to her.
"Yea, I didn't want you to go to sleep in skinny jeans. Was that a problem?" I asked, worried that I had done something wrong.
"Did, did you see anything?" Cassie sounded like she was still worried.
"No. I just changed you. I didn't touch you somewhere else, and I didn't look at you long. Just changed your clothes." I responded, thinking that she thought I had looked or touched somewhere that would consider me a rapist.
"Oh, okay. Thanks for doing that." She said, sounding a little restless, almost like she was worried that I found something that wasn't known, like a tramp stamp or something.
