I walked out of my class and immediately see Evan and a couple of my other teammates. I walked toward them, and when they saw me, they greeted me and started talking with me.
"Hey, mate. You excited for the game today? Championship game." Declan said, playfully punching me in the arm. I had totally forgotten about the game, and I made a mental note to ask Cassie if she wanted to come.
"Yea, I'm gonna need a ride. Somebody want to pick me up?" I asked, looking around.
"Yea, mate! I'll pick you up after I pick up the twins and Evan." He said, motioning with his arm to the 3 other people he was going to pick up.
"Alright! And after, who's going to come to my pa-ar-tay?" Evan said, making the word party sound a little funky. When nobody made a sound, he put a hand over his heart and stumbled backwards. "Ouch."
"No worries, I'll come." I said, shoving his shoulder playfully with mine.
"And here we have the pitcher, taking one for the team! Anybody going to follow up?" Evan said, and everybody laughed telling him that they would come to his pa-ar-tay.
After talking about the party, I said goodbye, and walked out of the building and into the campus, and finally finding Cassie's yellow beetle. I stood there, waiting for her.
---
"Hey, loser! What are you doing at me car?" I heard a shout coming from the campus. I looked over and saw Cassie coming towards me with her group of friends, all giggling and pointing at me.
"I need to ask you something." I shouted back, getting nervous already. Not to mention the 7 girls all talking with her. They were all wearing nice pastel skinny jeans, and nice blouses, but there was one that was wearing black ripped skinny jeans and had blue hair. And when they got closer, I saw the one with the blue hair have two different colored eyes. One of them was blue, and the other was gray. They would probably laugh at me when I failed to keep my nervousness under control.
When Cassie finally reaches me, she unlocks the car. She raises her eyebrows at me and smiled, a kind of look that told you to state your question, without looking mean.
"You like baseball games , right?" I asked, and a girl in the back shouted at me.
"She only goes for the food!" Cassie laughed and nodded.
"Of course. As Lacy stated, I love the food there." Cassie smiled, egging me to go on.
"I've got the championship game today, if you wanna come and see it. I'll get you some free snacks and good seats." I said the last part quickly, trying to bribe her to come with the food.
"Okay, I'm sold. Do you want me to pick you up?" She asked, pulling a loose hair out of her bun behind her ear.
"Declan's already picking me up. But I'll text you the information?" I said, and at first I thought I saw Cassie's smile waver at the mention of her not needing to pick me up, but it was gone in a millisecond, so I thought I had just imagined it.
"Alright. But one thing." She smirked.
"What?" I asked, getting nervous.
"You have to come shopping with us. I mean, all of my friends here," She motions with her hand all of the girls around her. "Love to shop, while I don't, but I'm the only one who has a car. So I need somebody to share looks at and groan with." She smirked again, and I smiled.
"Do I have to?" I asked, dreading the idea of going to the mall.
"Yep." She takes my hand in hers, and my heart skips a beat. The girl with the blue hair and another one of her friends called shotgun, and they both dived into the front. They start to bicker until they resolve the problem by the lightest girl sitting on top of the one with blue hair. I looked at the other 5 girls, and start to doubt the room that was left for me.
