The blonde haired girl was sitting quietly at a ship deck beside the sea. She swayed her feet to the rhythm of the waves crashing from a distance. The girl hummed to the song that had been stuck inside her head for a long time. Her hair falls perfectly behind her back and her crystal blue eyes were as alluring as ever. A few moments after, a girl which seemed the same age as her came and sat down beside her.
"Hey, Mandy." The girl said to the other one. Her eyes glanced at the girl that just sat down. Mandy was her nickname, but her real name is Amanda. Amanda Nixon. Her father owned a school there and everyone respected him and also her. She was treated like the second principal of the school, but she didn't really seem to care anyways. Amanda is a shy girl. Even when she's around her friends, she'll remain quiet, unless she was given time or was forced to talk.
"Hey, Julie." She said and hugged the brunette sideways. Julie then handed her a sandwich, causing Amanda to lick her chapped lips and technically snatched the sandwich out of Julie's hand. She unwrapped the food and took a few bites before wiping off the crumbs from the corner of her lips. Julie just giggled seeing her friend's action.
"What's your plans for the holiday?"the brunette asked, breaking the silence. The sound of the waves crashing on rocks continued as the blonde bit her lip. She shook her head and took yet another bite of the sandwich.
"Nothing?" The brunette guessed. Amanda nodded. She had to stay home because she had to work at the café her stepmother owned. She had to earn some money so that she could get her father the watch that he wanted the most and had been talking about since forever.
"I'm going to Paris. And my mother said I could bring one of my friends since there's a spare ticket. You wanna come?"Julie asked Amanda. She couldn't resist it, she wanted to say yes but she shook her head no. Amanda told Julie the reasons why and Julie, being the best and nicest person you'd meet, understands her situation. She knows that Amanda adores her father, and the watch would be just the right present for him after all that he had done.
"Well, I gotta go right now since there's 10 minutes till my curfew. Thanks for the delicious sandwich! Lava you" she said. Julie giggled at the word replacement for love, she grinned and nodded, before also standing up and catching up to the pace of her friend. At the end of the deck, they parted ways and waved at each other before walking away.
After several minutes, Amanda reached her house and knocked on the brown and glossy looking wooden door. There were some Christmas ornaments on it since there was approximately 2 weeks until Christmas. It doesn't normally snow in Sydney, but the temperature was surely cold.
"Hey mom, hey dad." She muttered as soon as her mother opened the door. Andrea kissed her forehead and smiled before letting her in. Amanda pulled her mother and father in a hug and basically snuggled into them right in their middle. They three giggled as they pulled away, her father leaving a kiss on her cheeks.
She then went to the living room, plopped herself on the couch. Michael eyed him. She rolled her eyes and playfully smacked his arms.
"Where did you go?" Andrea asks as she walks into the living room as well.
"The deck beside the sea to see Julie." She simply replied."Your work starts tomorrow." Her mother says and Amanda nods, even though her mother can't see her nod.
Amanda looked at the tv, nothing interesting was playing. So, she peeked at her brother while he was texting a person named Eric.
"Ugh is that the guy in the basketball team that literally brags about every game he wins?" She says in an annoyed tone. Just thinking about Eric Hudson, makes her sick in her stomach.
Michael nodded and continued texting him.
Both of them stayed quiet for a while, none of them saying anything. She then stood up from the couch and walked upstairs, into her room.
Her room was colored in a shade of cyan. She had some family photos on her wall, some quotes, some band posters. Her bed was blue and her blankets had floral prints on it.
She wasn't expecting anyone to go in her room without knocking. But all of a sudden the door opened, revealing a person that was blue in color, barely visible.
It looked like a ghost.
Maybe it really was a ghost.
