Jerry the Bulbasaur had been walking for approximately an hour since he had picked his direction at random. Darkness had begun encroaching upon the forest, and the snow was falling heavily now. The temperature had begun to drop rapidly, and Jerry was shivering nigh constantly now. He was starting to become unsure his adventurers instincts were leading him in the right direction. Perhaps he should recheck his instincts? Maybe he needed a berry to fix his instincts? He wasn't quite sure, but wondering about it while walking almost lead to him running right into another tree.

Just when Jerry was sure he should stop and try picking another direction he saw a small ball of light maybe thirty or forty feet away. He stopped momentarily, staring at the floating, glowy sphere. What the heck was that? Should he run to it? One could almost visually see the indecision in Jerry's eyes. However his inner voice coaxed him to a decision in short order. It spoke of how this was clearly what his adventurers instincts had been guiding him towards! There, just a short ways ahead of him was a mystery ready for Jerry to discover and solve. He just had to chase after it!

So he decided, and immediately he dashed off after the glowing sphere. The sphere however didn't seem to want to make it so easy for Jerry, and pretty much immediately began floating away at a rapid pace. Jerry kept on following it through the woods, dashing between trees and jumping over bushes and logs. He tripped over many gnarled roots poking out of the snow here and there. But even when he entirely stopped it seemed so did the light. Almost as if it was beckoning him, taunting him. Jerry could not allow such a blatant slight to a great adventure like himself! He had to catch that light, and teach it how to respect grand adventurers!

So, despite the many reasons that idea was awful, he resumed pursuing the light. Blackness had completely encompassed the forest around Jerry and the light. The snow fell in a thick, steady manner that covered Jerry's tracks in moments. Whatever the light was, it didn't seem too effected by the snow or darkness like Jerry. His shivering had begun to affect his running. His gallop had become a wobbly stagger instead. But it didn't matter to him. The light had stopped, and he had caught up to it. It floated maybe three or four feet up, and ten feet in front of him. Jerry crouched down, wiggling back and forth while readying himself. Then he ran forward and pounced as best he could towards the light!
