After pouncing towards the light Jerry realized his mistake. The light was floating directly above a ravine Jerry had not noticed. Jerry attempted to scramble backwards while flying through the air, but unfortunately that's not how it works for pokemon who arent flying types. Or pokemon who could, like, float or something. So instead he began to plummet into the darkness below the light. He scrunched his eyes and prepared to hit the ground below. But suddenly his fall was stopped all at once. He slowly opened his eyes, pretty sure he was supposed to be hurt or something. Instead he found himself floating in mid air!
He was at first pretty sure he was dead or something, but as snow landed on his forehead and he shivered from the cold he decided that wasn't the case. Slowly he leaned his head backwards to take a look at what grabbed him. He was surprised, and terrified, to find a tiny Litwick had grabbed him. Suddenly Jerry felt very tired, and remembered that Litwick liked to drain the life from those it tricked into thinking it was a guide. Jerry tried to struggle, smacking at it with his Vine Whipe. But Litwick is a fire type so it didn't do much. As a last ditch effort Jerry picked up a rock and smacked it against Litwick.
This... actually somehow worked. However, before Jerry could celebrate being let go, he had to lament the fact that he was let go. Above a dark, cold, snowy ravine. He let out a light yell, all he could managed as drained as he was, and fell down into the darkness. As he fell he hit several tree branches and large stones jutting out of the side of the ravine. After what seemed like an eternity, but in all reality was only like fifteen or twenty seconds, Jerry hit the bottom of the ravine. He just so happened to land in a huge snow drift, which thankfully saved him.
Unthankfully it also caused him to be friggin freezing! He tried to roll out of the snow bank and stand up to look for a way out. But as he attempted to stand a really sharp pain spiked up in his front left leg. It turned his vision red momentarily, and he woke up about a minute later laying face down in the snow. It seemed he had broken his leg. And that wasn't all. As only a few feet in front of him stood a huge pokemon. It's tail ablaze and it's wing and teeth seeming much too large for Jerry's liking. It was a Charizard, and it was staring right at Jerry. Not only that though, as standing right next to the Charizard was a short figure in a heavy jacket, the hood pulled all the way up. A human had found Jerry, and he had no way to escape.
