It was almost Christmas and everybody couldn't stop talking about their wishes. Lee Sungjin was propping her head on her palm and leaning back to the soft cushion she sat on. Her friends; Ryu Sujeong and Lee Mijoo were talking about the stupid Christmas wish.
"I really want an action figure. I was obsessed with collecting action figures, I have no idea why, but for this year's Christmas, I want Olaf from Frozen," Sujeong said as she flipped her magazine that was on her thighs.
"What are you? Seven? You're an adult, Sujeong. You should be wishing for make ups or clothes or shoes or girly things," Mijoo said as she got herself warm near the fireplace.
"And I bet your wish isn't one of those," Sujeong retorted.
"I wish Santa will give me a boyfriend this year," Mijoo said as she started to hug herself.
Sungjin drank her soju and put the glass on the table beside the cushion. "Well, both of you were childish to have a wish and think that will happen."
Mijoo and Sujeong tilted their head toward Sungjin and laughed mockingly. They were even rolling on the carpet and tears were roaming out from their eyes. Sungjin looked at them and thought if she was telling a joke.
"Humans have wishes, moron," Mijoo said after they settled down.
"You're dead if you didn't have any wish nor dream," Sujeong said as she placed her palm on her stomach and caught some air.
"I do have wishes, but not to Santa. I bet he's not even real," Sungjin crossed her arms in front of her chest and looked to the side of the room.
Mijoo stood up from the carpet and jumped to the cushion, making them flew a little. "Why are you in such a bad mood? This is almost Christmas! You must feel the joy!" Mijoo said while extending her arms up in the sky.
Sungjin sulked up to the couch and pouted. "I don't feel any joy."
Sujeong tilted her head to the back and looked at Sungjin. "You don't feel any joy because your lover isn't here~" she mocked her while pouting and batting her eyelashes.
Sungjin glared at the younger while Mijoo's eyes gone wide and she began to laugh. Sungjin gave Mijoo a glare and hit her thigh.
"I'm not in a bad mood because Woohyun isn't here," she defended herself. "In fact, I know he is having fun with his friends and family so it's fine with me." Sungjin got up from the cushion and walked to the kitchen.
Mijoo and Sujeong looked at each other like they had something in their minds.
"I bet for something with chocolate," Sujeong said to Mijoo with a serious tone.
Mijoo chuckled as she underestimates her choice. "Well, I bet for another bottle of soju."
"Loser, pay up for the next meal."
They tilted their heads toward the kitchen, waiting for Sungjin to show up. And when she walked to the living room, she was not alone. She was being companied with two slices of chocolate cake. Sujeong screamed in victory while Mijoo just groaned and threw her head to the back.
The girls always made a bet between 'chocolate or soju' when Sungjin was upset or depressed. Because Sungjin would pick one of those guilty pleasure of hers. She couldn't drink soju that much because she drunk fast, and for chocolate she had allergies when she ate too much. But Sungjin didn't know any of this. Ever.
"You can grab the chocolate cake in the refrigerator. But only a slice each person!" she warned them as she took a seat next to Sujeong, which was on the carpet. Mijoo and Sujeong stood up and went to the kitchen to grab a slice of cake each.
