Chapter 3
The next few Grand Prix's went quick, it was like a blur. The results weren't too shocking either, even I must admit. I decided to watch Practise now after all these years, maybe it would change my mind about it and make the weekend somewhat better. I was happy with the results despite things looking rocky, well should I say, very rocky, with Seb acting weird. It wasn't all happy though, some were dreadful, especially the Qualifying on the Saturday at some Grand Prix's.
Malaysia– Seb, Jenson and Heidfield. What a weekend! Qualifying wasn't too bad. RedBull had the best Qualifying with Seb been 1st and Mark been 3rd. McLaren did good aswell with Lewis been 2nd and Jenson been 4th. It was celebrations all around, not that I enjoyed it, too many thoughts as Seb was been really weird, and it seemed like a lot more then he had been in Australia. What was going on? Race day wasn't too bad either; Seb won in style like he did back in Australia, but Jenson wasn't too far behind him. I was happy Jenson got 2nd, afterall he was my brother. It always cheered me up when he did well. Heidfield had a really good drive and got 3rd, I think he surprised a few people not just me. But overall it was a good Grand Prix and an alright weekend despite things still been weird with Seb. On to China for the next Grand Prix.
China –Lewis, Seb, Mark. This weekend was a brilliant weekend for McLaren. Qualifying went brilliant for McLaren, with Jenson coming 2nd and Lewis coming 3rd behind Seb of course in 1st. Talk about celebrations that night in the McLaren Motorhome. And for once, I will admit, I enjoyed it. Although I still thought back to Seb, but honestly, could you blame me? Race day was alright, if I do say so myself. McLaren was happy with Lewis coming 1st, RedBull did good too with Seb coming 2nd and Mark coming 3rd. Jenson came 4th and Nico got 5th which made me happy really as they were still in there, and with Jenson being my brother and Nico my best friend, it made my day that they did well. The weekend went well, so my mood was slightly better than when the weekend began. On to Turkey for the next Grand Prix.
Turkey –Seb, Mark, Alonso. This weekend wasn't as good as China, although Qualifying was quite good. It was a RedBull lock out for front row with Seb coming 1st and Mark coming 2nd,but what got me smiling was Nico coming 3rd ahead of Lewis in 4th, Alonso in 5th and Jenson in 6th. Nico never had good qualifying so this was brilliant on his part, and with him been my best friend, it was cheerful news. Jenson tried to be unhappy with 6th but couldn't when he saw my mood had improved. It made him happy seeing me happier then I had been. Raceday wasn't too bad either, it kept the same good pace from Qualifying. RedBull had a good weekend with Seb coming 1st by a landslide as usual and Mark coming 2nd. Alonso did well to get 3rd aswell. His first podium of the year so far. Lewis, Nico and Jenson had a good race aswell, with Lewis coming 4th, Nico 5th and Jenson 6th. I enjoyed this weekend then the rest, if I'm honest. My mood was better than it had been, but of course this weirdness with Seb was still in my mind and I only wondered why. But never the less, it was on to the next Grand Prix – Spain.
Spain –Seb, Lewis, Jenson. Not a bad weekend for anybody. Firstly every team made upgrades to the cars before the practise session.Qualifying was interesting to say the least aswell. RedBull locked out the front row again, but this time Mark got his first ever pole position of the season ahead of Seb in 2nd. Lewis came 3rd with Alonso coming in 4th splitting Jenson who came in 5th from Lewis. Race day was much better especially for McLaren. Seb won but only just infront of Lewis in 2nd who was then followed by Jenson in 3rd. I was happy that Lewis and Jenson were doing better, not as good as Seb of course but much better, especially with it being at the beginning of the season.Bring on the next Grand Prix – Monaco.
