Isabella's pov✨
Here I was walking through the chilly night trying to get to the restaurant as fast as possible, It was only a few blocks away but it was still cold which made the journey dreadful.
Once I had stepped inside, my eyes landed on my father sitting next to a guy with red hair and an eyebrow piercing. My father would never sit next to a guy with such an appearance, I mean I don't mind the attractive guy but I was a bit taken a back on my father's choice of guest.
Eventually I made my way to the both of them, smiling genuinely at my father and getting ready to accept what he had to say.
'Oh, would you look at that, my daughter only 5 minutes late. What a surprise! you usually stand me up for at least half an hour.' Remarked
My father.'Good to see you too,' I pecked his cheek as I made my way to shake the red haired guy's hand, 'and this is...?' I asked trying to be as polite as possible.
'This is Michael! He's Nathaniel's son.' Introduced my father sounding pretty eager to get this over with.
'oh well, it's nice to meet you Michael. I'm Isabella, Bradley's daughter.' I point out the obvious quite a lot and so that made Michael nod slowly trying to shake off my weird gesture.
I took a seat across from my father who had a stubble on his chin and looked a bit more healthier than last time, he looked good.
My father tried to make small talk but I just wanted him to get to the point, and find out why dinner with him tonight was really important.
'Oh Isabella, tell me how's Rachel? Is she still getting knocked up by Ashton?' My father asked looking at me dead in the eye.
'Oh cut the crap! Why the hell am I here? What do you want? I'm not moving back to California or quitting my job.' I raised my voice at him, trying to not draw any attention at us while Michael just stared at us in disbelief.
'Isabella! Don't you dare talk to me like that ever again! Understood?' He replied with such fury.
I just nodded, not wanting to cause the poor guy next to my father experience one of our fights.
'I'm here to tell you that Michael is moving to New York in a couple of days and is looking for someone to show him around New York. And I being a good friend told Nathaniel that you could show him around.' He continued.
'and tell me father, how is he supposed to be a positive impact on my life?' I asked raising my eyebrow At him.
'They expect us to get together and fall in love' spoke up Michael for the first time this evening after the shy introduction.
I bursted out laughing, my father has always tried to marry me off to his friends' sons. Trying to make me quit my job and stop with all 'the nonsense'.
'What's so funny here? I think you two would be a great fit! Him with the dyed hair and piercings, along with your rebellious self' my father looking at me as if I'm a maniac
'I'm rebellious?' I laughed more, 'how the hell am I rebellious? Oh my god, where the hell is Rachel? She needs to hear this!' I kept laughing.
'Isabella, I thought I raised you better than this.' He was now giving me a look of disappointment.
I get these looks a lot, especially from my family. I apologized a moment after because I admit I was being rude and inappropriate. The dinner didn't end up the way I thought it would but my father was excused a bit after for work, which left me with the 'rebellious dude'.
'So um... That was awkward.' Michael broke the silence 5 minutes after my father left the table. 'Do you guys have fights like this all the time?' He asked.
'Oh yeah, we've had worse. You know I'm so rebellious and apparently we would make such a good couple.' I answered being as sarcastic as possible.

Michael ended up taking me to a bar at the hotel he's staying at. It was quite classy. I ordered vodka while he got some scotch.
it was currently 9 pm and I was trying to convince Michael to take me home because I had to be up for a very important photoshoot the next day.
'Come on, aren't you rebellious? This isn't even intense enough to have you whining to go home' he kept trying to convince me to stay at the bar for a while longer.
I think I stayed till 11 because after that everything went black.

No one reads my story but I'm fine with that, anyways I'm trying to not sound cliche but the cliffhanger was a bit too much. ~Tuleen
