Long distance relationships were tough sometimes. Not being able to spend time with the one you care about the most was almost heart-breaking, and for Steven and Kevin, spending time together didn't happen a lot.

They tried planning out dates for one of them to stay at the others for a few days, usually Kevin being the one to leave due to Steven having college. But this didn't happen too often, as much as they'd like to spend all their time together, being in separate states and half way across the country from one another stopped them.

The next time they were set to see each other was in a weeks' time. Steven having a break used for study, but obviously he was using that time for Kevin.

He was worried though, Kevin hadn't spoken to him for the past three days, not even his twitter was active, the last tweet from two days ago. They'd usually spend hours every day talking with each other over Skype, but even Kevin hadn't been online since then. He was worried that maybe Kevin didn't want to talk to him anymore... and this was his way of telling him he didn't want to be with him.

This one thought, brought tears to his eyes, and as he sat there staring blankly as his computer screen; he refused to let them out.

He kept telling himself over and over again, that he was overreacting, but they kept forming in his eyes. He was such a mess, immediately assuming the worse, Kevin could just be sick, or his power could be out, but that didn't stop the worries in his head.

He was home alone, his parents out for dinner that night for their anniversary, and he wasn't even sure if they were coming home later tonight.

Steven gently wiped the tears that he refused to let fall from his eyes, looking at his computers clock, the time '6:09pm' displaced on screen. He decided he might as well check downstairs to see what he was going to make for dinner.

He pushed the remaining thoughts of Kevin from his head, standing from his computer chair and heading out of his room and to the kitchen.

He dragged his feet as he walked, not having the energy to even lift his feet up with each step. Entering the kitchen, he flicked on the light, the room suddenly becoming bright, causing him to squint. He made his way over to the fridge, checking to see if it had anything good to offer. After a few seconds of mindless scanning the items inside, he closed it and reached up to open the freezer.

He settled on a microwave meal, not wanting to bother with making anything else. He pulled the box from the freezer, closing it before resting the box on the counter to read the instructions.

He pulled the contents from the box and set it in the microwave, setting the appropriate time and stepping back for it to cook.

He rested his back on the edge of the counter, sighing lightly to himself as he listened to the gentle hum of the microwave.

A few minutes in, he was awoken from his thoughts, by the doorbell. Sighing once again, he slowly made his way to the door; he wasn't necessarily in the mood to be interrupted by a door-to-door salesman or something.

He reached to the side of him, flicking on the porch light before opening the door to whoever it was on the other side.

"If you're here to sell something, I'm not inter-K-Kevin!?" he was immediately taken back, bringing a hand to cover his mouth, he looked up at the grinning male.

"Don't I even get a 'hi' or anything?" Kevin asked, the huge smirk never leaving his face.

"Kevin!" Steven burst out, jumping into the others arms, and hugging him as if his life depended on it.

"Woah, woah, I wasn't expecting that much of a welcoming" he chuckled, hugging Steven back and gently running his hand through the youngers hair.

Kevin felt Steven shaking from in the embrace. "Hey, are you cold? We could go inside if you want?" he asked, tilting Steven's head up to meet his eyes. Steven shook his head, the tears he kept pent up, now escaping his eyes.
