Scarlet POV
I watched Raph drink what was left of his coffee and get up. I smiled up at him and copied his motion.
"Okay, ready big guy?"
"Ready as I'll eva be."
He chuckled and ruffled my hair AGAIN.
"Knock it of would'cha!" I said annoyed at his antics. He laughed and tried to do it again, but I just slapped his hands away.
"Yer no fun." He rolled his eyes.
"Well, ya know, I might not want someone touchin' my hair." I rolled my eyes back.
Then it turned into an eye rolling contest. He can roll his eyes up into his head.
"Ow! Okay ya win." I rubbed my eyes and gave up.
"Come in let's go, we're burnin' daylight." He smiled. I followed him out to the motorcycles and got on.
"Nightwatcha ta Red, do ya copy."
"Crystal clear."
"Let's roll." We both pulled out of the parking lot and into the highway. I laughed and twisted through the lanes of cars, Raph followed next to me in the lanes beside me.
"Hey, calm down girlie! I don't want Phil ta get his mustache in a twist."
I giggled and heard his laughter on the other line. We rode like this, until we reached the exit. We turned and slowed down a bit. The trees lined each side of the road. The leaves blew perfectly in front of us.
"Wow." I breathed. I heard chuckling on the other line. We rode over a bridge that was over a nice little creek about two feet deep. The minnows were jumping out of the water like tiny sparkling raindrops. I could hear frogs and toads singing through the morning and we spotted a deer in the tall brush. Raph stopped and pulled over. I slowed down and stopped as well.
"Come here, ya need ta see somethin'."
I parked and took off my helmet. Raph took my hand and lead me through thick forest.
"Raph, what are ya doin'?"
"I need ya ta see somethin'." He repeated. I smiled and walked with him. The sticks and twigs snapped and cracked under our feet. I heard slithering.
"Stop."
"What?"
"Hold on."
I lifted up a log and sure enough there was a black snake underneath it, eating a fat plump rabbit.
"Whoa." Raph said.
"I know right, this is so awesome. The rabbit is literally getting eatin' alive in front of our eyes." I nodded excitedly.
"Poor rabbit." I sighed afterwards.
"Eh, it's life." We both shrugged and Raph took me further into the woods. I tripped and fell.
"Raph!" I whined.
"Sorry Scarlet." He blushed. I giggled and smiled. He picked me up and climbed a tree. I scooted off his back and climbed up before him. We trekked the tree until we reached the top.
"Look to the south."
I turned around and beyond the leafy branches and bare twigs was the most beautiful, breathtaking, breath hitching, eye catching scenic view I had ever seen. The small hills cascaded across the meadows and a crystal clear lake lay in the middle of the natural heaven that settled before me. I gasped and lost my grip on the branch.
"Ahh!"
Raph caught me by my shirt collar and pulled me up to him. I blushed. We were so close. Only a few inches away. Raph placed his hands on my cheek and leaned in. I closed my eyes and waited for the embrace. Instead I heard a crack and I squeaked. He chuckled and climbed back down with me on his shell.
"Don't worry, I got ya."
I felt the forest floor and I shivered.
"Jesus Christ!" I gasped. He smiled and laughed.
"Wow, ya know I wouldn't let ya fall, right?"
"Yea, it just startled me a bit." I tried to defend myself. He laughed and laid a hand in my shoulder.
"Did'ja like the view."
"It was so, I can't even describe it." I smiled and sighed. "Thanks Raph, it was really a moment to remember."
I kissed his cheek and hurried to my bike so we could head back to the city. Slipping on my helmet, I checked to see if Raph was there.
"Nightwatcha, ya there."
"I, uh, y-yea, I'm here R-Red." He stammered beside me. I giggled and blushed.
"Common tough guy. I can't wait for some of Mikey's pizzas."
