Raph POV
I watch Scarlet jump over the bar counter and sit next to her friend Destiny, I think that's her name. I smiled and watched her braid Scarlet's hair.
"Ow! Destiny!"
"Sorry, tangle!" Destiny nodded and finished. "A masterpiece!"
Mikey chuckled and smiled up at her from the other side I the bar.
"So, Destiny, how old are you?" He asked flirtatiously. I rolled my eyes and gazed at the drink Scarlet slid to me. Cocking an eyebrow, I looked at her. She giggled and walked my way.
"It's Pepsi, moron."
"Oh." I smiled and took a long swig. I needed some caffeine, I missed breakfast since me and Scarlet stayed up so late last night. I wish I could go back and relive that night over and over again. I sighed to myself and watched over Scarlet carefully. I'm not one of those helicopter like boyfriends or whatever, I just want to make sure she's alright and safe. I've loved her since the first day we spent fixing that bike, and I decided then, that I would protect her at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing my life for hers to go on.
"Hello! Earth to Raphael!!" Leo was smiling as I dazed off. I growled and shooed him away. "Scarlet's gonna show us how everything works. Wanna join or sulk like always?"
"Knock it off, will ya." Scarlet growled and rolled her eyes. "Come on let's go." She smiled and I stood up. She lead the group and forced Mikey to go.
"See ya Mikey!" Destiny smiled.
"See ya!" Mikey sighed and turned around to Scarlet. "She's single, right?"
Scarlet laughed and gave him a noogie.
"Your growin' up so fast!" She exclaimed. Mikey frowned and walked next to me. I tried my best to ignore Leo's flirtatious ways but I lost it. I side stepped next to Scarlet as he ranted on. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey!"
"Sup?"
She gave a small grin and looked down. I kinda liked how I made her blush so much. It made me feel like that proves her love. Ya know, if you don't like somebody then you won't blush while they flirt, you ignore them. At least that's what I did when Mona would visit. We'd break up, then she'd "stop by" and flirt. She hasn't been by in almost a year. Hopefully she's decided to leave us alone.
".......and this is the bass control." Scarlet concluded.
"Whoa!" Mikey gasped and drooled over the music on the laptop.
"Okay, Mikey! Lets let Scarlet get set up." Donnie pushed everyone out the door besides me. He gave me a thumbs up and shut the door. Watching carefully, I gazed at Scarlet's face. Her beautiful brown eyes were clouded with concentration. She chewed the inside of her lip, then poked out her tongue. Her brows furrowed and she worked her hands diligently and swiftly. She slowly looked up at me and I smiled.
"Havin' fun there?" I joked. She smiled and looked down again and blushed. I chucked and walked over to her. "Observing" over her shoulder, I held her hand.
"Whatcha doin'?" Scarlet asked me.
"Observing."
"Whoa, watch those fancy words there, that's Donnie's job." She laughed and continued to work. I smiled and kissed her cheek. She tried to move away, playfully I might add, and I grabbed her waist. Scarlet jumped and giggled. I gave her a knowing look, I finally found her ticklish spot. Score one Raph! I laughed darkly and cocked an eyebrow.
"I knew that ticklish spot was there somewhere."
She laughed as I grabbed her waist.
"S-sto-p-p it R-Raph!!" Her laugh was ringing through the walls. I stopped and sat in a stool.
"Did'ja enjoy yer self, Raph?" She growled. I just smiled and shrugged. She huffed and rolled her eyes. Turning around, she had her back on me as I crept forward. My hands were almost to her sides when Scarlet sighed.
"Raph, don't."
I laughed and draped an arm over her shoulder. She looked up at me with loving eyes and gave me what she thought would be a small peck. When she made contact I smiled and pulled her as close to me as possible. Nothing! Not even air could pass through, as I kissed her. I could feel her smile through mine. We really liked this new concept of "more than friends". I let go and looked at my T-phone. 10:25 pm. I groaned and pecked her soft lips.
"Ya got five minutes. See ya."
"See ya." She sighed and finished off with a small smile. I blushed as I walked out and mumbled to myself.
"Damn, now I know how she feels."
"Hey, Raph!" I looked over to a rambunctiously waving Mikey.
"Awe, jeez." I groaned.
"Hey, right here!"
I sauntered over to the group and sat at a table. I guess since we didn't have anyone to dance with, we all kinda just sat there and hummed with the music. Suddenly whoops and cheers echoed through the building as a familiar voice echoed through the noise.
"Hey there! This is Red, here to give you tonight's top story. Crowd of partiers disturbs the whole NY state!" She shouted and laughed as hollers and whistles over took her voice. I smiled and watched Scarlet energize the crowd.
"Now as ya'll know, Saturday is karaoke night, whoop, whoop!!" Hoops and hollers. "Know if ya wanna request a song I'm gonna have a clipboard back there and the songs shall roll at eleven, karaoke at twelve and song requests from one to two. How's that sound!" Cheers and whistles. She laughed and laid down the first track, Won't Back Down: Eminem and P!nk. I smiled and tapped my foot to the beat.
"Ughhhhh, I'm bored!!" Mikey groaned and banged his head in the table. I grabbed his bandana.
"Why I outta!" I growled and threatened to punch him. He coward back and stared at Destiny.
"Man, you really like that chick, huh?" I observed to Mikey. He focused back to reality and blushed.
"Uh, I, um...."
"It's okay if ya don't wanna tell me, I just thought it was pretty mature of you." I shrugged and gazed at Scarlet. She looked my way and smiled.
'Hey!' She mouthed with a smile.
'Hey!' I mouthed back with a small grin. Mikey tapped my shoulder and gave me a curious expression.
"What?" I snarled defensively.
"What were you doing?" Mikey asked and tilted his head to the side a little. I blushed a shrugged.
"Nuthin'!" I defended. Of all people I didn't want Mikey or Leo to find out how soft I am on the inside. Scarlet has like her own little place in my heart, and I never really treat her like the other girls I meet. When I saw her I knew she was special, with her dark brown hair and red highlights, and those compelling eyes that pulled me into her arms, I knew it was just a matter of time before I liked her, and just a little more time before I loved her.
