Ashton
If tomorrow you won't be mine, won't you give it to me one last time?
You knocked on Ashton's door, holding a box of his things in your hands. You both knew this was coming. It was just a matter of time.
He answered the door, his eyes going straight to the box of items you had collected over the course of your relationship. You studied his eyes intently, looking for some sort of emotion that told you he didn't want this to end. But there wasn't anything. No remorse, no anger, no sadness, no nothing. Just an emotionless face.
You cleared your throat.
"Where are the boys?" you asked.
His eyes met yours.
"Out," he stated.
"Why?"
"I told them you were coming over to...you know..." he trailed off. "They wanted to give us some space."
You nodded, stepping into the house. The two of you walked into the living room in silence.
Your relationship wasn't always like this. You know, strained. It used to be so easy. But in the past month, he got so busy with his career and you were so busy with school, it created a barrier between the two of you. And the both of you were too stubborn to break the barrier down. What was once a loving, happy relationship turned into something that wasn't really a relationship at all. It was just the two of you, simply existing.
It wasn't that you two didn't love each other. You loved each other more than anything. In fact, you think that was your downfall. You were blinded by love. It became too much to be away from each other for so long.
"Here's your stuff," you said, putting on a brave face. You set it down on the coffee table, watching him watching you as you did it.
He nodded and turned around, grabbing a box that was sitting on the couch.
"Here's yours," he said, handing the box to you.
You took your things, glancing down at the box that held all the memories you two shared together.
"Great," you said with a hint of bitterness in your voice.
There was an uncomfortable silence as the two of you stood there, neither looking at each other. In your mind you were begging him to say something, but you knew he never would.
"So that's it?" you asked him. "There's nothing you have to say to me?"
You were met with more silence.
"Awesome," you said sarcastically. "I'll see you around, Ashton."
You were walking towards the door and then suddenly, you weren't.
"(Y/N)," you heard as Ashton spun you around to face him.
And then you were kissing. You dropped the box of your things, letting them fall to the floor as you pulled Ashton closer to you. He led you up to his bed and laid you down gently, never breaking the kiss.
And then it happened. It was slow and passionate, fast and lustful. It was beautifully heartbreaking, like it was the last time the two of you would ever be intimate like this. Because it was.
When it was over, he pulled you close to him, as if he would never let you go. You were tempted to stay there with him. Oh, you were so tempted. But you knew if you did the two of you would just keep hurting each other. So with all the strength you had in you, you peeled yourself away from him and gathered your clothes.
