Chapter 3 Melony

Melony woke up and panicked she didn't remember where she was for second but then all things that happened last night came back to her. Melony checked her phone for the time it was 10:30 in the morning. She looked around the room it was empty besides for a bed that was made all nice and tidy. Melony was glad that Jensen wasn't in the room with her because she really didn't feel like trying to explain what had happened last night. So she got dressed in some simple jeans and flannel. Melony walked downstairs and found the table with plate on it that had breakfast food on it. She knew it was hers because the plate had her name on it. Melony couldn't believe they still had this plate it was her plate that she used when she was younger. Then  breaking thoughts Melony noticed that nobody was in the house she was all a lone. Melony said out loud "Were is everyone?" Just like the other questions she had asked herself she had no answer for it. Melony became lost in thought once again. Melony didn't know how long she sat there but her thoughts where finally interrupted by Jensen. "Hey sleepy head," said Jensen in a very soft tone. "Eat up, we have a busy day and you will need your strength," as Jensen said this she gestured to the food. Melony finally realized she was being talked and said "Oh ok " as she took her untouched food and threw it away and put her plate in the sink. Melony felt like Jensen was judging her for what she just did but it didn't really matter what she thought right or did it she didn't really know but she decided not to think to much about it. For the first time since Melony had arrived at the farm she took a an actual look at Jensen. Everything about Jensen caught her eye the way her hair sat but the thing that caught Melony's eye the most was Jensen's eyes. Melony told herself to pull herself together. "So what do we have to do first I didn't hear you I was lost in thought when you came in" said Melony. " You should probably eat so you don't pass out while you work" Jensen suggested. " I am not hungry right now so can we just get to work " said Melony putting a upbeat tone into it. Jensen led Melony out side to where they would be working. "Well most of the work is done because you slept so late, so we just need to go pick some vegetables," stated Jensen. Melony didn't say anything she just followed Jensen to where the tomatoes and corn were. She made sure to stay behind her because she knew she wasn't really on good terms with Jensen and did she care not really but something made her doubt that statement. When they got to the corn and tomato rows they would be picking from Melony waited for Jensen to pick a row to pick from then once she had Melony went to the end of that row and started picking the tomatoes. She wanted to be as far away as possible from Jensen because Jensen still made her uneasy for some reason and she liked to sing while she worked and she didn't want her to hear her. After a couple minutes of working Melony started to sing. "She was girl, he was a boy, can I make it any more obvious" mumbled Melony but as Melony got further into the song she started to sing louder then she meant too and when she noticed this she stopped singing because she was guessing Jensen could hear her and all she could think was please don't say anything oh dear god please let her not have heard me.
