Yonaka's stepmother stood in the doorway shouting drunken insults at her and screaming to get inside.
"Hurry!" the rabbit shouted beckoning her to follow and quick.
There was a yard or two between her and her stepmother giving Yonaka time to dash after the ruby-eyed rabbit. The stepmother may have been drunk but that did not mean she was slow and quickly followed in hot pursuit of her stepdaughter.
The rabbit stopped in front of an enormous pit and turned around to see Yonaka not far behind but her stepmother was too close to catching her so the last possible second the rabbit turned into his true form. A young man with ruby red eyes, snow white hair, and two fluffy white rabbit ears. He wore the same outfit as a rabbit that once stood there in his place. He wore brown khakis and his spectacles were much larger.
The lady had managed to grab Yonaka's hair and attempted to drag her back to the house but the man had kicked her in the stomach hard before she could get far. The lady lets go of Yonaka and doubled over in pain. The man took the chance to scoop up the little girl bridal style and jumped down the hole.
