Just an Orphan Girl ( A One Direction fanfiction)

chapter 4

"JULIET?" said the person behind the door.

"EMILYY!!!" I cried

OMG I can't believe this, my best friend from the orphanage back in Canada was here in England! We both screamed and hugged each other tightly. When I pulled away, I realized we both were crying.

"Well, this is awkward" said Harry

I laughed while wiping the tears away. "Hey guys this is Emily. My best friend from the orphanage back in Canada."

"Yeah, we already know her." Said Zayn

"OH MER GOD!! You got adopted by One Direction?? Oh my god gurrrrl, we got so much catching up to do!" Emily screamed.

I laughed. I see she hasn't really changed at all. Emily got adopted 2 years ago. Emily's only a couple moths older than me so she's 15. Her hair was still blonde but today it was pin straight which flowed down her back and her eyes were still brown. She was wearing a fancy lacy tang top with a high waisted flowery skirt with brown glaciers but in all she looked gorgeous.

Zayn cleared his voice, letting us both snap back into reality.

"Oh, I'm sorry, please come in." said Emily politely

We all stepped and soon I was greeted by a man who looked like he was in his early 30is.

"Hello, Liam, Louis, Harry, Zayn and Niall and this is this we have here?" said the man.

"This is Juliet Thomas, the girl we adopted." Said Liam

"Well, Hello, I'm Derek Edwards, the boss of One Direction." Said Mr. Edwards while I shook his hand and he turned to Emily and said "Honey, why don't you show Juliet the house and tell your brother to come down stairs and greet the boys. Also dinner will be ready in half an hour"

"OMG COME ON JULIET LETS GET CAUGHT UP." yelled Emily.

We ran upstairs; she didn't both showing me the house because it wasted time. The only stop we made was in front of her brother's room.

"Hey Loser, open the door." Said Emily while banging the door.

The door opened and I gasped when I saw who it is.

There stood Landon shirt less. His body was perfect; you could see his perfectly tones 6 pack.

"Juliet? What are you doing here?" he asked confused

"Umm.. you see..." I started to say.

"How do you too know each other?" asked Emily

"She goes to our school." said Landon.

"OMMMGGG! Can this day get any better?" said Emily out loud "oh yeah and she's adopted by One Direction and they brought her here to meet your dad. Let's go into my room."

As she dragged me towards her room, I looked back and saw Landon giving me a confused look.

I sat down on Emily's bed while she put some music on.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU GO TO MY SCHOOL! I knew I should have gone to school today." She yelled

I laughed "so you're like a millionaire now?"

"So are you, girl." She said laughing.

"Who could have imagined us both finally getting adopted and finding out we live super close to each other." I said sighing while lying in her bed.

"Remember when we were younger and we would take the dress from Mrs. Grodas and dress up in them and pretend we were adopted by rich people? Well guess what, this all came true." Emily wondered out loud.

Mrs. Grodas was the volunteer who helped out at the orphanages back in Canada. Emily and I were her favourites.

We talked some more. I found out we had all the same classes which was honestly the best thing I've heard. After a while someone knocked on the door and then it opened. Landon came strolling in

"Hey, dinners ready." He said

I looked at Landon and he looked gorgeous. He was wearing black jeans and a red shirt with a black vest on top which was unzipped.

"Stop checking out my brother" whispered Emily trying so hard not to laugh

I blushed and looked down. Emily gave me a 'We'll talk later' look.

Dinner was really awkward. The only person we talked was Emily and all she did was told Mr. Edwards and everyone else our times in the orphanage. I gotta say we both were troublemakers. It was awkward to look up from my food because Landon was sitting across from and giving me a weird look.

Out of nowhere my phone started buzzing.

Landon: You're adopted?

Me: how'd you get my number?

Landon: I've got my ways, so tell me

Before I can answer, I got another text from someone

Liam: put your phone away, it's disrespectful

I looked up at Liam who was giving me a look. I can sense all the boys were tensed up. Was I doing a good job trying to leave a good expression towards their boss?

Mr. Edwards started asking me some questions about how I liked it here and if the boys were treating me right. Of course, I answered and had said good things about everyone.

As soon as dessert was finished, Liam had looked at his watch and said "Oh, My, it's getting late and Juliet has school tomorrow, we must be off."

And with that we left. As soon as we got in the car, the boys sighed in relief.

"Phew, thank god that's over!" cried Niall.

I laughed "It wasn't that bad"

"That's because the whole family loves you" cried Harry.

I laughed as I got comfy in my seat. I didn't even know it but soon I got into a deep sleep.

I woke up again to see myself in someone's arms. I got scared, was I getting kidnaped? I started screaming.

"Shhhhh. Juliet. It's just me Harry. Don't worry, I'm carrying you to your room, you feel asleep in the car.

He put me down in my bed and kissed me on the head and said good night and left. I got up and realized I had to change into comfy clothes. Once I did I feel asleep again. Today had been a super long day.
