"Why have I never seen you around before? I didn't go to school with you, I've never even seen you in the mall over the three and a half years that I've worked there..?" I asked him as he handed me my plate of chinese when we finally found a table to sit at.

"Oh, I moved from the western suburbs. Decided I needed a change I guess?"

"So you moved from west Sydney all the way to east? That is a pretty big change."

"You know what? Let's play 20 Questions." He told me.

"Um.. okay." I still hadn't began eating my food yet. Michael didn't order any food for himself and I was a little worried. He'd told me that he wasn't hungry and that him and Calum (who I'm assuming is brown boy) had pizza before he came and picked up the movies.

"What is your favourite movie?" he began.

"Ironically, The Goonies."

"Favourite song?"

"Africa by Toto."

"Favourite colour?" He belted out.

"Red."

"Favourite band?"

"Marianas Trench."

"Idol?"

"Josh Ramsay or my Mum."

He continued on with his questions and I noticed once he got past twenty but I didn't mind. I was enjoying answering his stupid little questions.

"Okay okay. I'm out of questions."

"Congratulations, now you know me," I gestured to my body, "And I know nothing about you."

"Hit me."

I leaned over the table and smacked his arm, earning a laugh before belting out the same questions he asked me.

--

Eventually my break was over and Michael walked me back to the store, our arms linked and our faces red with laughter.

"I had such a fun time Michael. Thanks." I said, looking at the ground.

"Hey," He said and grabbed my chin lightly, forcing me to look into his eyes. "I'm glad you had fun, so did I."

He let go of my chin and handed me a peice of paper which I assume was his phone number and began backing slowly out of the store.

"Laters baby." He said, fake seductively as his tattooed arm flew into a womens boob. I covered my mouth as Michaels eyes widened as he apologised. The lady looked at him in disgust before walking off.

"What can you do?" I mouthed and shrugged my shoulders, earning a chuckle from him.

I sighed and went back behind the counter and continuing my reading in The Fault In Our Stars, seeing as there was no one in the shop.

"Y'know, I've heard very bad rumours about that boy, Bri." Luke's voice pulled me out of the wonders of Hazel and August.

"Like..?" I questioned him.

"I heard he's a player and the one time he did have a girlfriend, he cheated on her with her younger sister. I also heard that he sometimes do-"

"And where are you hearing this shit from? He just moved from the complete other side of Sydney, you can't-"

"Okay Bri, I'm cutting the crap, I went to school with him. We were actually in a band together for about six months, me, him and a guy named Calum." Calum. "I've witnessed it."

"People change."

"Exactly. Some for the better, some for the worst. What I'm saying is, is that I wouldn't trust him too soon. You don't know what he's like. I mean, he might have changed, I don't know. Haven't spoken to him in four years."

"Okay, thank you Luke. I appreciate it." I really did. Michael honestly didn't come off as that type of guy but I've always been oblivious to guy stuff. I pulled out the peice of paper in my pocket and read it.

Come over and watch these movies later with Cal and I if you'd like?

7pm and there will be pizza.

Laters baby.

*insert number here*

I laughed at his stupid Fifty Shades of Grey quote but saved the number into my phone.

The Goonies, pizza and two hot guys? Okay. This should be fun.
