Marcus ran home as fast as he could to show his father the phone number on his hand. He took his key out of his pocket and unlocked the front door. He saw his dad working on the television. "Dad. I have something you might want to see.", Marcus said as he walked over. He opened up his hand revealing his palm with the number written down on it. His father smiled, "I thought you didn't want to make a little girlfriend?" Marcus blushed a bit and shrugged. "I was looking around the new neighborhood and I saw a park so I was observing it and she came over and said hi and...called me cute..", he smiled at the last part. His father nodded and looked at Marcus' palm, "What's her name?", he asked with a small smirk. "Oh um... Makayla.. She's the first girl that has ever complimented me... Actually she's the first REAL girl that has ever spoke to me. Maybe all of those Sim dating games, will finally pay off?", he said saying the last part lowly. For almost all of his life, Marcus has done nothing but studied, collect comics/action figures, and play video games. He believes that virtual relationships are better than actual ones. "Well, I have enrolled you into Miami Senior High. You'll be starting your first day tomorrow. I'll go buy us some beds tomorrow. We'll have to sleep on the couch.", his dad stated. Their couch was able to turn into a miniature bed, so Marcus shrugged at it. He looked up at the clock, 5:30 pm. He decided to hook up his gaming system and play a few video games. After hours of playing, he became tired. He stretched and yawned and looked over at the time, 11:45 pm. He saw how his dad had already fallen asleep. He slowly stood up and grabbed clothes from his suitcase- since they didn't own any furniture except a couch and their television- he walked to the bathroom and took a shower then got out and walked to the couch. He got comfortable and before you know it, fell right asleep.
