The date was going to be at the movies, we were going to see Night of the Living Dead.
It sounds cheesy, I know, but as long as Johnny and Jace are together, then things are dandy.
There names are even cute together.
"Dally, I'm going to Jaces' house, then off to the movies!"
"Yea, be careful, kid. You want my blade? You know, just in case?" He asked.
"Cool, thanks Dal." I smiled at him.
I arrived at Jaces' house and knocked on the door.
Of coarse Jace appeared.
"Hey, are you excited?" She asked.
"I guess, I mean, it's nothin' special."
We walked up to her room.
"I don't have anything to wear, Jace."
"Well, I can help you with that. I have some cute summer dresses."
"A dress?! Jace, I can't wear a dress! Dresses are for girlie chicks." I stated.
"You need to shut up, and I'll make you all cute for the date." She beamed.
"Do you like dressin' people up?"
"Well, yea, it makes me happy to make people look good."
She tossed me a yellow dress with a black belt. It was a little above the knee, and had tiny straps.
I wore my black converse since the dots were black. I can wear a dress, but I will never wear girly shoes.
After that she did my make up and curled my hair. She didn't let me look into the mirror until we were both done.
She wore a white dress with little pink flowers on it, and put on some pink flats.
She put her hair up into a bun, and her make up looked amazing.
She finally let me look into the mirror, and I looked like a whole different person.
I looked like a girl. We heard the doorbell ring. That must be Johnny, and Pony.
I opened the door to see the boys in there regular style.
"Hey, guys." I smiled at them.
They didn't answer. Was it because I looked like a circus clown? I knew I should have went with my regular look.
"Uh, earth to Pony, and Johnny." Jace said.
"Sorry, you just look amazing." Pony said.
I blushed a little.
"Words can't explain how good you look, Jace." Johnny said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I guess we should head off or we'll miss the whole movie." I said.
We walked to the movies, and we already knew what movie we were going to see.
Pony and I shared a bag of popcorn while Johnny and Jace did the same.
Pony and I started making fun of how cheesy the movie was. I went to grabbed more popcorn and ended up grabbing Ponys' hand.
We both looked at each other.
"Sorry." We said in unison.
Then we laughed it off.
I loved Ponyboys' laugh, it was so cute.
I mean, no, I did not just think that.
After the movie we went to the lot.
We were talking and we saw a blue mustang, and, man, it was tuff lookin',
We started to back away, and the broke out in a run.
Socs were following us, and we turned in an ally.
I saw a really small space, and it would be hard to cram us all in together but it would work.
"Guys, we all need to fit in that small space."
I went in first, then Pony, after him, Johnny, and last Jace.
My chest was to Ponys' and our legs were tangled together. My arms were around him, and his arms were by my waste.
Johnny and Jace were holding onto each other.
We listened closely, and soon enough heard feet.
"I can't find them." I heard a male voice call.
"Don't worry, we'll get them next time. I'll make sure of that." Another male said.
We made sure they left then tumbled out of the little hell hole.
"That was a real close one." Johnny said.
"You two were holding each other pretty tight." I said and winked at them.
"Like you and Pony weren't." Jace said laughing.
Johnny started laughing too.
"Come on, let's just leave them." Pony said.
Pony and I went back to the lot. it was dark so we just sat and looked at the stars.
It was only 9:30 and I had to be back by 11:00.
I rolled over to face Pony, he looked at me too.
We just stared at each other. It wasn't one of those awkward stares, it was more of a comfortable stare. He had that cute smile on his face, and I couldn't help but smile too.
Then he started to chuckle which caused me to chuckle also.
I could feel myself dozing off, I couldn't fall asleep or Dally would be mad.
I got up, and Pony stood up with me.
"Want me to walk you home?" He asked.
"Yea, that would be real nice."
"So, where do you think Johnny and Jace went."
"If I knew I would tell you." I looked over and half smiled at him.
"So, what are you doing tomorrow?" Pony asked.
"Absolutely nothing." I replied.
"You, Johnny, Jace, and me should hang out." I shyly smiled.
"Totally."
We finally reached my house, and were now standing on the porch.
"Tonight was fun, Pony. We should do it again, sometime."
I gave him a hug in which he returned and went inside.
"Hey, Dal, I'm home. Here's your blade back."
I went to my room and fell into a deep sleep.
