It was hours later and by now Jinhwan had a small bump on his temple. Why? Well he kept teasing me and trying to test me on how far I would go before I act on my irritation. All of that until I actually hit him, and on his face out of all the places I could hit him so now he had proof I did that to him.
He was actually quiet by now and that was my goal so I wasn't complaining. Of course he didn't stop whining about the sore spot on his head- which I honestly understood a little.
"Last one" I mutter as I turn off the camera. "Finally we're done, now let's go back before it gets dark and they leave without us".
I turn around to face Jinhwan- who is rubbing his forehead. It might get a little blue if he doesn't cool it. Well it doesn't matter because we're done so now Mrs. Shin can take care of it.
As long as he doesn't tell her that I did it.
"Don't want to sound rude and get a stone in my fucking face, but I haven't seen any of our classmates for a while now" Jinhwan points out as he lightly rubs the bump on his head. "Any chance we got too far into the woods?".
To see him like this I start to feel a little guilty for throwing stones at his face. Well only one this time, he managed to dodge the rest and I threw a lot at him. I did make sure that most of them are those lumps of sand squeezed together and turn back to sand after impact.
I look around us and notice that he's right. When I hit him with that very round stone, there were some classmates around who laughed at how stupid we look when we bicker and fight like this. But they always laugh at our bickering because apparently it's funny, I swear one of these days they are going to come up with 'clever' nicknames for us.
"How late is it, we had to be back at the bus at four" I ask him.
Jinhwan takes his phone out of his pocket as I wait patiently, until a flash blinds me for a second. A flash, did he just seriously do that? Did he just seriously took a picture of me in this serious moment?
Little spots cover my vision as I give him an annoyed look. "Kim Jinhwan don't take pictures of me, I asked about the time not for a picture you dipshit".
He snickers softly as he shows it to me. Even on the picture you can see that I was annoyed by his behaviour, just by judging from my posture. "For your mother to let her see how bossy you can be on assignments" he jokes. "Ah and I need to take a picture of this bump on my forehead as proof of your demonic side, I need to do it soon since it's getting dark. Maybe next time Mrs. Shin can put you together with Lee Jooheon, at least you won't hit him in the face with a stone" he continues, still not telling me how late it is. "OH SHIT! Songyi it's already close to six" he shouts at me, yet again shoving his phone in my face for the third or millionth time already.
However I am frozen on the spot while my mind tries to process what he just told me. It's almost six. Around six it gets dark, it's getting dark now. We are so dead meat.
I can't even properly process what's going on, we are in big trouble. We are in an area where we don't know the dangers off. We could be in the middle of nowhere and everything starts to seem alike so how are we going to find a way out of here?
We are two hours late. Mrs. Shin said that who wasn't back on time will be in bad luck and find their way back home. Although I'm not sure if she meant it or if it was a threat so everyone will be back on time. However they would miss us, I mean we always bicker so the busride will be a whole lot more quiet.
