The night before, Princeton called the police up and six officers arrived. He didn't mention the rape because they would've had to question Bahja, and she was already hit with a runaway charge. He had to tell them they broke into the house and randomly killed Manny, one of his old friends who snuck into his house also. The cops thanked him for his cooperation and told them that they would get back with him.
Once they left, Princeton slammed the door and rubbed his eyes with both of his palms. "I am surprised that they didn't have me as a damn suspect." He yelled.
Bahja ran down the stairs with her laptop on her hip. "I'm sorry once again, Princeton."
"Do you know what you're even sorry about?"
"For hurting your feelings and betraying your trust. I feel absolutely horrible."
"Pfft." He laughed. "I forgot, I'm not talking to you."
He ran back upstairs, where he could take a shower and get rested up.
Bahja decided just to stay downstairs to let him cool down. She made her some cookies in the oven and turned on The Jefferson's, her favorite classic TV show.
Six hours passed, and she was laid out on the couch asleep with her head on the armrest. That's when her phone rung inside her pocket.
She made a snoring noise, and hit the sides of her pockets to find it. Once she finally grabbed it she answered with an un welcoming "What".
"Bahja!" Roc yelled on the other line.
His voice woke her up. "Roc? That's you?"
"Yes! Where are you? Everyone is worried sick about you."
"You're just going to tell. I can't tell you." She said, rubbing her eyes.
"Well, are you with Princeton? We can't find him either!"
"Yes, I'm with him too. But I'm not telling you where we are."
Roc sighed and paused.
"Why did you run away?" He asked, calmly.
"Roc.... It's private."
"Just tell me. I won't tell anyone. I promise."
She thought about it for a second. Roc was always a trustful person, and she needed someone to anyways. She sighed and bit her lip.
"Okay. Princeton showed me a video on Russian roulette. And I've became slightly addicted to it."
"Bahja, how do you become addicted to a game like that?" He yelled.
"Shh! Calm down."
"Okay, but why are you addicted to something like that? Can't you die?"
"I can." She laughed. "But I'm on a lucky streak. Like, I've fired a gun at my head over 15 times and I haven't died yet."
"FIFTEEN times?"
"Yes! It's like I've been hit with a good luck charm or something."
Through the phone, she heard fainted shouting from a man in the background.
"Roc, who is that?" She laughed.
"Oh...... that person in the background is my dad. He yells a whole lot."
"Geez, you never get tired of that?"
"I do. Sometimes I want to run away from it. That's why I'm happy I'm in Mindless Behavior. I don't have to deal with him." He sounded a little disappointed.
