The sun was just starting to peek out from behind the trees as it steadily began to rise. Birds chased each other around as their chirping sounded through out the area. The birds and the sound of the fountain water being the only noises heard this early in the morning besides the occassionaly cyclist riding by.
Gilbert set down his bag and pulled out a sheet near the trees and the lake, figuring that Feliciana would like it better over here so when the sun came up they wouldn't be in the heat. "Wanna fly kites or..? What do you want to do first?" he asked, smiling brightly.
Feli looked up in thought. "Ummm I'm pretty sure you have a frisby in that bag of yours~! Let's play that first and then fly kites!" she responded. Gilbert seemed happier than usual..it was really great seeing him this way. "Come on! Let's not waste this day by sitting around!" she chimed as she got up and sprinted a few feet away to prepare to catch the frisby.
Gilbert smirked a he got out his frisby and stood up. "Alright! Get ready!!" he called out as he threw the frisby towards her.

As soon as it was late enough in the morning, Ludwig went out for his usual run in the morning in the park. He put in his headphones and quickly ran down the path that was put there for runners and cyclists when he noticed two kites flying in the air. Not many people flew kites anymore..unless they had kids or something.
'I'll just check it out then..It's not being too nosy--' he reassured himself as he sprinted in the direction of where the kites were flying above the trees.
As he neared the area, he noticed Feliciana first. Ludwig blushed slightly, but quickly shook his head. She looked really beautiful with her hair up in a ponytail like that--not that she wasn't beautiful all the time!! But he really liked seeing her with her hair up for some reason.
"Hallo, Feli~" he finally got out as he walked into her direction.
"Oh, Ludwig! Ciao~!" Feliciana giggled as she looked over to him. Just when she was about to drop her kite. the other German appeared behind her and carefully helped her keep her grip on the little spool.
"C--careful.." Ludwig stuttered, slightly embarrassed.
Gilbert looked over and seen the two; his heart felt as though it had slowed down. They looked so happy together, standing there laughing at each other's jokes.
"What are you doing out here?" Feliciana asked as she looked up at the blond.
"Well..I was trying to get a few hours more of sleep, but of course..Gilbert was blasting his music so early in the morning I could get back to sleep! So I decided to go running and I just noticed two kites~" Ludwig replied, causing the Italian to laugh.
"Sounds like Gilbert alright~ He must be a bit obnoxious in the morning, huh?" That comment seemed to stab Gilbert right through his heart. Obnoxious? Was that what she thought of him...? 'S..she must only want to hang out with me, because Ludwig is bound to make an appearance~ using me...Well..that's fine! I still have a chance kesese~!' he thought as he moved closer to them to fly his kite.
"I was just excited! We barely get to hang out during the week! Everyone has so much homework. the only day I really have off is Saturday!" Gilbert whined.
Ludwig smiled as he looked over at his brother. "If you did your work early enough, you would have time to do other things, bruder." he replied.
Feli giggled as she listened to the two of them. "Oh hush~ at least he gets his work done! "
"Exactly~" Gilbert chimed, but he realized he had become the third wheel of the group almost immediately. He didn't want to say anything though..they obviously seemed to be having a lot of fun without him. "Uh...well, I'm gonna go study--I just remembered I have an online test later today..I'll see you tomorrow, Feliciana! Don't forget, you're tutoring me tomorrow~" he spoke as he put his kite away and got his bag.
He turned one more time to see if they had caught what he said, but it seemed like they were in their own world now...
Gilbert casted his gaze downward as he walked back to his dorm. There really was nothing left to do, but to study...
This day had not gone the way he had planned.
