I have to admit.
When I first met him, I didn't like Sebastian E. Lockhart. I wish I could say that I grew to love him, slowly and softly, as time progressed. But that would be a lie—and I'm bad at telling those.
So instead, I'll tell you the truth—something Sebastian doesn't do often. If it was up to him, I'm sure he'd only tell you half the story. Maybe even say that it wasn't his intention to get close to me in the first place. But I, your earnest narrator, will not edit out the truth or mask the harshness you'll discover in this story.
Not even slightly.
You'll just have to bear through it—like I did—because I'm not holding back.
