Devani
Reaching over to cut my alarm clock off, I got up and walked in the bathroom. After doing my daily routine, I decided on some light makeup. Just filling in my brows and some eyeliner.
After twenty minutes of searching through my closet. I settled on my black onesie and yellow Pumas. Once I was dressed, I went down stairs seeing my brother Jay on the phone.
"Morning." I spoke.
He didn't say anything so I said it again.
"My bad. Ian see you."
It was just us. I didn't know my parents. Jay says our mom was a crack head who didn't give two shits about us but for some reason I don't believe him.
My thoughts were interrupted by Jay calling my name. "You ready get dropped off."
"Yeah." I responded. "You staying at school today?" I asked once we got in the car.
"Nah dev you know I can't do that man. I got shit to handle and we posed' to be getting somebody new."
"Okay." I said dropping the conversation.
He was barely at school lately, but he was ready to graduate so it didn't matter to him. We were a year apart, so I only had one more year to go.
"I'll take you with me if you'n wanna go to school."
"Yeah, I don't have anything to do since I'm caught up with everything."
He made an u-turn, heading towards the house. It only took us about fifteen minutes to get there since I wanted something to eat. Unlocking the door with his key we was greeted by Black, one of the security guards.
Him and Jay dapped each other up while he hugged me. "What's up lil dev, you playing hooky." He laughed.
"You didn't see me." I joked.
"Where lil dev?" He asked, playing along.
My brother shook his head and I followed him to the back. Everyone was playing GTA5 but there was one person I didn't recognize. I sat beside him since it was the only seat.
"Wassup ma?" His accent made me weak.
"Aye August this my lil sis Devani."
I tried to say something but it wouldn't come out, so I just waved. He did a simply head nod.
"I'll be back. I gotta go handle sum. I got you when I get back Aug."
We both said okay and everyone left with my brother. It was an awkward silence so I decided to break it by asking him where he was from even though I already knew by his accent.
"I'm from New Orleans." He chuckled. "Surprised you couldn't tell from da' accent."
"I did know I just wanted to break the silence cause it was getting awkward." I shrugged.
He laughed. "Aight' ma."
"Do you call every girl ma."
"Nah. Jus' da really cute and sexy ones." He smirked.
I started blushing real hard, my cheeks turned red. "Damn ma I didn't know you could turn red."
"Shutup." I playfully hit him and he grinned.
"I'm jus' playin witcha."
As time went by we just talked and laughed getting to know each other. As we were talking I got a text from my brother.
"We good with Aug?"
"Yeah, he seems cool. I don't think he a snake."
"Ite."
I sat my phone down and there was a knock at the door. August got up to get the door. He came back with my brother. They started talking then I saw them dap each other up.
"Come on Dev you ready?" I looked at August and stood up.
"Um yeah."
As I was almost out the door, I turned around to get August number only to bump into him. "Sorry." I said, clearly embarrassed.
"You good ma." He grinned. "You gon' give me ya number?" He asked, looking at my phone.
I stared at him. "I don't know you like that." I joked.
"Stop playin." He said, taking my phone and I took his.
As I was putting my number in his phone somebody named THOT#34 texted him saying, "Hey daddy. I'm horny. 🍆👅💦"
I busted out laughing and he snatched his phone from me. "My bad ma." He said, handing my phone back.
"No need to be sorry. You aren't my man." I smirked. "Bye August." I smiled, turning around and leaving.
