(A/N) I apologize for the awkward spacing in the middle of the chapter. I don't know how to fix it
It was approximately 5:30pm when Sam rudely interrupted my peaceful reading time with her obnoxious yelling. I was getting to the good part of the story where Evie and Lend were finally going to kiss but no because Sam had to make her appearance known to the entire neighbourhood.
"Cheyne! You know how you are my hairdresser and everything! Do something with my hair will you?!"
See what I mean by rudely interrupted. She didn't even have the decency to knock or ask she just waltzed on in like it was her house and demanded me to do her hair. I mean, I enjoy playing with her hair but she could have asked me at least. She slammed open my bedroom door and I couldn't help but laugh. Her hair was sticking up every which way and she had her dress and makeup in her hand.
"Sit down you idiot, I'm gonna need a lot of time to tame that nest atop your head. You can do your make up in the mirror while I do your hair."
It took me half an hour just to straighten and brush Sam's hair and now I have to style it and do my hair. It took me 20 more minutes to do Sam's hair to perfection. It was braided into a halo around her head and then pulled back into a messy bun at the back of her head. This left me little to no time to do my own. We had to leave at 6:30 and it was already 6:20 so I decided to just do some simple curls throughout my hair. Simple yet effective.
Once our hair and makeup was finished we put our dresses on mine being a long elegant red dress and Sam's being a long blue dress that was tight at the chest and flowed out at the waist. I walked into my closet and pulled out two pairs of heels which were almost exactly the same aside from the colour. Sam's pair was silver while mine were black. 6:30 rolled around and we were both finally ready so we made our way downstairs. Parker and Harry were downstairs waiting for us to come down and told us that our parents had already left so they could keep our reservation.
We all started to make our way out the door but then I remembered that my phone was on charge in my room so I excused myself and ran back upstairs to grab it. When I came back down it was just Parker waiting for me.
"Where did they go?" I asked. Of course my brother would leave with my best friend and not me but I wasn't arguing, I got to ride in Black Beauty again.
"I told them to go ahead, they didn't want to be late so I said I'd wait for you."
"Oh, okay." Wait, so it was Parker's idea for them to go.
"Well... we should probably get going then."
"Yeah we should, you can drive this time. I don't think I can drive in these heels."
It was a half an hour drive to the restaurant and there was no way I could drive for 30 whole minutes in these shoes even if it was in my dream car. The drive there started off silent which gave me time to admire Parker. He was in a black button up dress shirt with black jeans on. Coincidently he had a red tie and red Vans on. It had to be a coincidence, only Harry and Sam knew what colour dress I had not Parker. His dark hair didn't have anything done to it so it was just its normal style which perfectly highlighted his dark green eyes. It was about fifteen minutes into the drive when Parker finally spoke up.
"You look really beautiful tonight."
"Uh thanks. You don't look so bad yourself."
"Yeah thanks."
After that it was straight back to silence which couldn't have been at a better time. Just as the car went silent Lost Boy by Ruth B came on and I couldn't help but sing it.
