It was 2:37 in the morning when Parker and I made it back to my house. Parker had pulled up on the drive way and parked next to a car that did not belong at this house. I looked over and noticed that it was Sam's Camaro SS. I really envied both Sam and Parker because of the cars they owned.
We snuck into the house trying not to wake anyone up. I walked up the stairs and into my room only to notice that Sam wasn't in there. If Sam isn't in my room, that means she's either with Harry in his room, or she's in the guest room which is practically Parker's room. I didn't want to barge in on Parker just in case she wasn't in his room so I went to check Harry's room first. Big mistake!
"Hey Harr... OH MY GOD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! MY POOR INNOCENT EYES!"
I slam the door closed and run down the hallway. I open the first door I see and slam it shut behind me, panting and sliding down to the floor. Once I had gotten my breathing under control I could hear a faint laughter. My eyes snapped up the source of the sound and I saw Parker sitting on his bed laughing so hard.
"Y...your face was priceless! You look like you saw a ghost!" Parker said in between fits of laughter.
"Close. I would have much preferred seeing a ghost than what I saw"
Parker's face went from humorous to serious in a split second. If someone were to walk in right now they would not have known that he was laughing mere seconds ago. Parker practically jumped off his bed and came and sat next to me on the floor. He looked me straight in the eyes.
"If you would have preferred to see a ghost then it must have been something bad. What did you see Cheyne?"
There was so much intensity in his eyes it made me nervous.
"I-I saw S-S-Sam and H-Harry doing the d-d-dirty in Harry's b-b-bed." I said with a nervous laugh at the end.
You could see Parker trying to restrain himself from bursting out into laughter but apparently he has very little self-control. Again his expression changed in a split second, except this time it was from seriousness back to laughter.
"They're probably just celebrating Sam's graduation but in their own way."
"Yeah well I graduated too and I would much rather not celebrate it like that. I need to pack my bags, and figure out a place to stay, and pick my classes, and decide what I'm going to major in, and buy new clothes, and study, and keep up my grades. I have too many things I need to focus on and I don't see how Sam has time to have coitus in my house with my brother knowing perfectly well that I also live here."
"Okay Cheyne. You need to just calm down and breathe okay. Everything will figure itself out in time okay. You just graduated so now is your time to relax and take in the fact that you are no longer in high school and that you are now out in the real world. Just have some time to take that all in and then next year you can start to worry about your responsibilities. I know it's only one week away, but use that week to your advantage. Go out and do all of the things that a teenager is meant to do. Celebrate and enjoy your life until all of these responsibilities are thrust upon you. Promise me that you'll use this week for yourself and then I will help you sort out all of your problems."
Who knew that Parker could have such wise words of wisdom? He is right though, I should use this week to my advantage. I'm going to just so I can see Parker clothes shopping. I'm not too sure how he could help me with the others but I know he can help me with the clothes shopping.
"I'll tell you what." Parker said, "Back when I was living with my parents, my mother made me give her these spa days where I would have to give her face masks and massages. Hilarious, I know. But I'll provide you with one spa day – which will be today – and then you can use the rest of your week however you want. After that we can start solving your problems. Deal?"
"Deal! Now let me sleep because it is now 3 in the morning and I will most probably be up at 9. Goodnight Parker."
"Goodnight Cheyne."
*Later that morning*
Just as I had expected, I woke up at 9 o'clock. I laid in bed for about half an hour just waking up properly and then I made my way downstairs. The smell of bacon and eggs made its way into my nostrils and I was instantly even more awake than I was before. I practically ran into the kitchen and saw Parker cooking breakfast. He served me up a plate and then disappeared again.
Another 30 minutes passed and I was finished my breakfast when Parker walked back into the kitchen with a white robe and a head band.
"What's this for?" I asked.
"It's for your spa day now put these on and get in the lounge room."
I ran into the downstairs bathroom and got changed and made my way into the lounge room. There was a recliner for me to sit on and Parker was mixing something green in a bowl.
"Sit down."
"Okay."
"Now you just need to relax and enjoy yourself."
"Parker, what's in that bowl?"
"Just a mixture of things that are really good for the skin. The green colour is from the broccoli. It's really good for your face now close your eyes."
"Okay, I'm trusting you with this one Parker."
"Don't worry Cheyne, you'll be fine with me."
It was those words that had me closing my eyes and drifting off into bliss.
