Mona's Story

The Beginning

A little girl sits in the back seat of a car asleep, as her parents drive and listen to music. This family was heading on a vacation. They were going to Florida, but sadly they didn't make it there. While they were driving off the freeway, someone crashed into them from the side. The car rolled off the road and hit a tree. The parents died from glass hitting them, and they lost to much blood by the time the ambulance got there. But, the ten year old was still alive. She had a broken arm and leg, and a few cuts. She was also in a coma for a few weeks. Luckily she made it threw fine.

Once she woke up, she was expecting to see her parents standing over her. All she saw, was a woman standing in the corner then walk over once she realized the girl had awoken.

"Oh you're awake, thank goodness. Do you remember your name?" The woman asked with a soft expression on her face.

The little girl lay'd there thinking for a moment then spoke up "M-Mona.." She stuttered out "M-My name is Mona" As she spoke she slowly began to sit up.

"Mona? It's nice to meet you at last. I'm Eden. Now..you must be wondering where your parents are." her soft expression turned into a frown as she watches Mona nod "I am very sorry for your loss Mona..they died in the car crash"

Mona's eyes watered up instantly not believing what she heard. She starts to cry once she learns her family wont't take her in either. Eden sat there trying her best to comfort Mona, she hugs her and pats the back of her head sighing. Mona holds onto Edens shirt, then wipes her eyes and sits up wanting to leave. Mona narrows her eyes wishing her parents were still there with her. But she knew in her heart, that her parents spirits were watching over her, and that she'd be fine. She just needed to be strong.

~Six hours later~

Mona and Eden arrive at the orphanage. As they walk inside, Mona looks around and stops walking. She starts to feel uncomfortable as the other kids stare at her and whisper to each other. Mona looks up at Eden frowning, Eden smiles softly trying to cheer her up with a simple smile. Eden leads Mona upstairs to the room she'd be staying in.

"I'd like to let you know, that you won't have a room to yourself. You share a room with five other girls" She crouches down in front of Mona and rubs her sides "You'll fit in perfectly, don't worry. And a great family will adopt you." She kisses Mona's head before standing and walking out of the room

Mona looks around the room already knowing she's not gonna fit in. She goes to a bed and sets her stuff down on it and stands there staring at her bag. Mona narrows her eyes then turns her head as she hears a group of footsteps walk through the door. She turns around and stares at a girl that stands in front of a group of girls and holds her hands on her hips.

"And what do you think you're doing?" The girl says with a unamused expression across her face.
