Mona stared at the girl in the doorway. She wasn't sure if the girl was wanting to hurt her, or if Mona had put her stuff on the girls bed. Mona narrowed her eyes.
The girl raised her voice and stormed over "Must I repeat myself?! What do you think you're doing?!" she stomped her foot right in front of Mona.
Mona flinched and tried stepping back but bumped into the bed "I-I'm sorry, I was just setting my stuff down..I didn't know this was someone's bed already. I'll move my stuff"
"Yeah, you'll be moving your stuff out of this room." She grabbed Mona's stuff and threw it out of the room.
Mona's jaw dropped from the girls behavior. She walked out of the room and grabbed her stuff then went downstairs and sat in the living room on the couch. After a few minutes she shut her eyes and lay'd her head on her bag as she fell asleep.
"Why couldn't I have just died along with my parents, it would've been so much easier." She thought as she slept
~Eight years later~
Mona woke up in bed, her room now the attack. She listened to the few people at the orphanage walk around, as she stared at the ceiling. After a couple minutes, she sat up and rubbed one of her eyes. She takes a deep breath and slides her legs over the edge of the bed. Mona's now eighteen, and hasn't been adopted since she first arrived there. Since she's now known as a adult, she'll be aloud to leave. She can go live on her own, and possibly have her own family.
As Mona stands, she hears someone start to walk up the steps to the attack. Mona looks to the door and see's Eden stop walking at the doorway. Eden's eye's are full of tears and she has a sad smile. Mona frowns and walks to Eden hugging her tightly. Once Eden is hugged, she starts to cry not wanting Mona to leave.
Mona looks at Eden and smiles softly wiping Eden's tears "Hey, its okay, I'll still come by and visit every once in a while."
"I know, it's just..you grew up so fast" Eden laughs lightly then sniffles "You've worked so hard through the years. I know you'll be fine on your own"
Mona smiled, then turned around and started to pack up her clothes, but left some out to change in. Eden helped by taking Mona's bag downstairs. After Mona changed, she stood in her room and stared out the window for a few moments before she heard Eden call for her. She headed downstairs and stared at the floor as she headed towards the front door.
~Three Hours Later~
Now, Mona sits in her apartment. She sits on her new bed and stares out the window. Mona has a frown across her face. She thought, that if she finally lived on her own, that she'd be better. But now she doesn't know what to do. Scared to be out on her own, not sure what might happen. But all new things, can be fun adventures.
