Chapter 1: Lucy

Lucy's Pov

It's been days since I celebrated my birthday—my most memorable birthday.

I jumped off the train and then. . .

"Lucy!" Shouted a familiar voice from afar.

"Liss!" I shouted back, as I waved my hands on the air, while smiling ear to ear.

"Wait up," she said, when she walked towards me.

"Done doing the quest?" She said, while smiling.

"Yup. Got enough jewels to pay for my rent." I said, and then she pouted.

"I said you hafta wait for me. . ."

"Sorry, the due date is. . .oh god, it's today!"

I remembered. It's today! AND, if I wont pay today, Goodbye apartment!

Wondering why I wasn't with Natsu today? Well. . .he was on another quest, which does not include celestial mages. . .like me, which is totally weird. That quest is weird.

I just finished another quest and earn a handful of money. I did it all alone—though Lisanna wanted to join me, but I thought, it was a easy quest. I need to do it alone. I am not that weak. I need it alone. No sharing.

And yeah, I did it all alone.

It didn't took several minutes when I reached the landlady. She was counting money already.

"Landlady!"

She stopped on her tracks and raised her left brow.

"I—I'm here to—"

"YOUR due date is today." She paused as she gave me a really bored look.

"12:00 PM, and know what time is it?" She asked.

I gulped before looking at my wristwatch.

I arrived here about 11:57 AM and. . .

"Twelve. . ." Which is followed with  a number that I never wanted to say.

". . .Fifteen." I said, almost a murmur.

"See?" She said, and then she sighed. "Around 12 o' clock, another girl offered me one of a big cash for her to live at the apartment. . .and sorry to say. . ." She paused as she gave me a sympathizing look.

"I gave her that apartment."

My jaw dropped as she handed me a suitcase—which was apparently my suitcase.

"All of your things are here." She said.

I gawked at her, and then she walked away, leaving me dumbfounded.

Oh god, what should I do?!

I have no home now!

Natsu's Pov

"Fire dragon's roar!" I roared, as happy flew me into the air.

Dammit!

"It's salamander!" Shouted another bandit. "He's back!" Another one said.

I was expecting a quest that would excite me. . .but isn't this too easy?! Lucy could kick their asses too!

And why does the quest said 'no celestial mages alllowed!'?

Heck, I thought it was one hell of a ruggedly amazing quest, but hell!

Just bandits. Bandits. Bandits. Bandits. BANDITS!

"ANYBODY GOING TO FIGHT?!" I shouted.

"MOOMMMYYYY!"

And, they ran.

"Aye."

"Yes, aye. It leaves us with golds." I said.

The gold didn't matter.

But the reward.

The reward is the thing that got me curious—which is not so much me.

Reward: Truth behind Lies.

It made me uber curious.

And at the same time, afraid.

No, I am not being a scaredy cat.

I am afraid for Lucy.

Or am I being paranoid? It was because. . . After what happened, it got me totally paranoid for her.

To the point that. . .that everything seemed to be connected into that happening.

Into that guy. Into the past.

So, I did everything to protect her.

No matter how long it takes.

SOMEONE's Pov

"Hmm, cozy." I said, while looking at my new apartment.

"See? It is!" Said, the fat landlady.

"Looks like the pay is worth it," I said and then I sat in a sofa.

"Make yourself comfortable. After a month, you'll pay the same prize again." She said, and I gave her a smile.

"Yes, I will. I got tons of money," I said, and then she smiled at me as she leave.

Pig.

Of course, it's not the apartment that I am after.

I am after one girl.

I smirked upon looking from the window. One blond devastated outside.

Lucy Heartfillia.
