And We Shall Rise
Oh people in pain, affliction and sorrow,
Those tormented souls, those grievous beings,
You know not the truth,
You can't see the light.
The sufferance, the agony, the woe inside,
You think it is luck, you see only hell,
Let me say what I think, let me state what I see,
It is your blame; that torture you bear.
You live such scandal, such ruin, such shame,
The terror, the grief, the outright despair,
Your flaws, they lead to the illest beliefs:
We shall not rise.
With your deeds, you injure yourself and the rest,
Outrage and stealth, destruction and death,
They see no boundaries, only refusal to end,
We shall not rise.
Why do you act with lawless intent?
What do you see in terror and spite?
Well, it is time you found out the truth,
We shall not rise.
The buildings that fall, the creatures who wilt,
Your hatred upsets yourselves, that is all,
Untangled from all, lost in the woods,
We shall not rise.
Look inside your souls and your hearts,
Beneath the disdain, there's virtue and grace,
Ponder your valor, know what it means,
And we shall rise.
