*2nd grade*

Hmm. Second grade. Well here's how it started. That boy me and Alyssa had a crush on? He moved to Texas. We promised each other over the summer that if we like the same boy, we can't talk to them at all! Also my brother made the choice to move back with his dad because he couldn't take the heat here. So I was really bummed out. I didn't really talk to my mom a lot. I was feeling so depressed. Sometimes I would go to school crying. My teacher would always hug me saying "Everything is going to be fine, I'm sure he will come back to Arizona." She would always make my day so much better. The fun part about her was that she actually brought caterpillars in a little jar with food. Se had a big habitat for them, once they started to hang, took off the lid, hug it on the corner of the net, so we all had to wait for them to finally become a butterfly.

It was about three weeks later... Two hatched, but the other three didn't. So we had to wait for those ones. One week after, two more hatched, still the last one did not. It was about almost a month, it still haven't hatched. Maybe we thought it died. So my teacher was going to throw it away. But.. Right before it fell, she herd a crack, so she ran back to the habitat, she set it down on the floor inside, and out came out the fifth butterfly! We all cheered and clapped! Everyday we would get to fed them fruit. It was really fun putting your hand inside and letting them eat off your hand. I had so much fun with that activity until it was time to let them go. I was really sad, but we had to.

But that wasn't quite all of second grade. I would always go home sick, or getting hurt. Like one time. We were going to P.E, my shoe fell off. So I ran back to get it. I tripped over my shoelace and bumped my head into another kid coming towards me. I hit the gravel floor really hard. I was lucky I didn't pass out. I couldn't get up at first. So I had to get help from some girls to carry me all the way to the nurses office. I did have to go home early and get some rest. But it was really good to go home and have an ice pack sitting on my head. I did get a head start on my homework so I could watch more t.v.

Even though second grade felt really short I did have a fun, painful, and great time. I loved my teacher, made more friends, and even though me, Hannah, and Alyssa still didn't have a class together again, we still hung out after school as well.
