*In a dim sum restaurant*
(in her head) Wow today was so much fun and its not even my birthday yet!!! Yī stares at her aunt Jiao smiling, but Jiao is lost in thought. "Āyí (aunt) is something wrong?" Yī asked puzzled. "Yes I'm fine just thinking." Yī thinks nothing of it and goes back to munching on her dim sum
(Time lapse: Jiao and Yī are about to enter the house)
I wonder why Āyí is acting so funny, usually she is kind and bubbly...but there is something eerie in the air. Its pouring still Yī is standing patiently behind her aunt waiting for her to open the door. Finally Jiao opens it..."Oh my!!!" Jiao yelled. I ran in to find my house trashed! Tables flipped, vases broken, pictures ripped and things thrown about. "Māma...māma where are you!?" Yī searched for her mom up and down stairs five times over. Jiao starred at her silently crying clenching herself holding her hand to her mouth. Yī couldn't take it anymore she fell on the floor to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. She looked up and saw a flower on the floor (thinking to herself) hmm red orchid? Thats mom's favorite flower. Yī picks up the flower and under it is a letter. It says wǒ ài nǐ (I love you) with a picture of a dragon on it. Yī knows this is a clue and it isn't from her mother...Yī slid the letter into the inside pocket of her jacket. Cupping the flower in her hands she looks down and says "I promise we'll be together again."
