What's a Library?

"Okay! Okay! Calm down. It was an accident!" He said. I put up my knee up so I could get up, accidentally hitting him. "Agh!" He fell to the floor in pain holding his crouch.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"You hit me in the groin!" He said in a high painful voice.

   "Groin?"

"Groin! Crouch! Peanuts! Privates! That!" He said through the pain.

"Oh. Noted." I said getting up from the floor. If it hurt him it probably could of hurt others. Then I realized I was still on a mission. I also realized I had no idea what I was doing. How was I ever going to find information about wars in a stupid planet like this? Ask a stupid human! "Hey so...uh...Markus. Uh...where do you think I can find a place to get information about, oh you know, normal stuff, like war machines and weaknesses." I said in my most innocent voice.

He didn't question what I was saying which was surprising. "First off it's Marqais. Also have you never been to a library before? There's one near the school. Why don't you go there."

If only I knew where that was!  I yelled in my mind. "Thanks." I said. Where to get more information was people. People have information, maybe about where a library is, which has information. All this thinking killed my brain. It was like trying to learn a new language in such a short time. I had to think fast before anything bad happened.

"Okay bye." I yelled as I ran to the area called a city. I ran through the meadow to a fence that separated the meadow from the city. Fences meant "Don't go in!", which made me question why he was in the meadow. Why was the meadow fenced up anyways? Why would someone fence up such a huge area? I didn't let that get to me and set it aside.

I punched the fence which didn't budge. I kicked it which did nothing. I bit it and it didn't even dent. "This stupid human body can do nothing!" I yelled. Then I realized the wired fence made diamond shaped holes in it. "Convenient. If you made it to keep people out why would you make it so easy to climb?"

I started to climb the fence. The clothes I was wearing were so hard to climb with. My skirt kept flying up from the wind which made my feet tangle with it. As I got to the top, which was ten feet tall, I got a good look at the city. The rectangular building that had many windows reminded me of spacecrafts stacked together. We didn't have buildings in Eeron. We only had tunnels and rooms that were only allowed to be seven feet tall. The buildings were way too tall to be in Eeron's liking.

It amazed me how colorful the lights were in the area. So much light and color was something we didn't have in Eeron. Eeron was just gray or black, nothing really colorful. "This color kills my eyes. Ugh, I can't wait to get out of here." I grunted.

I jumped off the fence and ran towards the city. As I saw, people walked on gray cement while machines road on black cement. I jumped as I saw how many machines were on the black road. "How many war machines do they have?" The machine had four wheels and people driving them. They were all different colors and  sizes. I shook my head, "Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid.

I looked back to the people on the sidewalks. Most of them were looking at a device that was as small as their hands. Some spoke into them, some tapped into them. "What are those? Trackers? Alert Information Devices? Brain washing toys?" I slapped myself out of the daze of fear I had.

Everyone looked different from each other, which confused me. Marqais said this was where peoples were, then why do they look like other species from each other. In my planet everyone looked alike. But in this planet, their own species didn't look liked each other. It seemed...beautiful to me. I had this weird feeling in my chest. It felt as if I was craving something. The uniqueness in everyone seemed enchanting to me. Every skin color or eye shade of everyone was different. It pleased me.
