A Pirate's Tale

Chapter 1

A black haired woman stepped out of the deep blue ball gown and scowled when she couldn't reach the laces of her restricting corset.

"Undressing for me, Luv?" A voice questioned behind her.

The woman spun around with a harsh glare and scowl. "Who are you? Why are you in my window?"

The man leaned against the window frame, "I am Captain Jack Sparrow, and I was looking for a Miss Selene Corkweather when I became ... distracted."

The woman scowled at him before taking out a knife, causing the supposed captain to jump. She smirked at his reaction before cutting the laces on her corset, leaving her in her dressing gown. Jack's eyes took in her body before she walked into her large closet. Jack heard several mumbles before she walked back out in pirate's clothes with a sword attached to her hip. Jack rose an eyebrow as he took in her attire; she was wearing all black with silver designs swirling around. She reached into a small cubby hidden behind other hats and pulled out a black hat with a long, pure white feather.

Jack pulled an easy smile, "It looks as though I have found one Miss Selene Corkweather."

Said woman huffed and leaned against the wall, "Why are you looking for me?"

Jack kept smiling,"I need your help getting my ship back."

A snort of a laugh. "The Jack Sparrow needs help getting his own ship back?"

"There should be a captain somewhere in there, luv. Captain Jack Sparrow, and yes I do. I have been viciously mutinied upon and want my ship back."

Selene sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "What's in it for me?"

Jack pulled out his compass and opened it. "A compass that points towards whatever you want most."

Selene rose a delicate eyebrow, took the compass from Jack, and examined it with interest. "Tia Dalma?"

"Aye, ya know 'er?"

Selene sighed and avoided the question. "Alright. I'll help you. Let me inform-"

Suddenly, Selene's bedroom door was thrown open. "Out the window, down to the docks, her name is The Beautiful Trap."

Jack nodded and jumped out the window. Selene smiled an overly sweet smile to the British soldiers and her drunken father before turning and jumping out the window herself.

The black haired woman landed on her feet and took off, silently cursing whoever told the soldiers about her pirate life. She rounded the corner to the dock and scowled when she saw more redcoats holding Jack back, so she shimmied up a roof and jumped off behind the soldiers.

"Hey sexy! Wanna chase a real pirate?" This caused the soldiers to turn in confusion, as they couldn't - wouldn't- believe the woman standing behind them was the voice who had yelled such improper words.

Selene gave them one of her award winning smiles then started running off in the direction Jack had ran. As soon as The Beautiful Trap came into view, Selene started barking out orders. The crew was quick to start preparing the ship to leave. As soon as the two pirate captains were safely on board, they were out of port and sailing into the open sea.

Selene called a quick meeting of the crew and gave them an overview of what they were doing this time. The crew nodded once as she finished and dispersed to do their appointed jobs.

"Do you have any idea where your ship is?" Selene asked as Jack and she leaned over the map.

Jack pulled out his compass and watched as it spun around to point to the West. "In that general direction."

Selene laughed lightly as she nodded and scanned the map. "Then we start in Tortuga, and work our way from there."

Jack nodded in understanding as he leaned against the railing to look out at the open sea.
