You wake up on the familiar patch of golden yellow flowers and simply with a sigh. Carefully, you get up and make your way over to a recognisable face and just glare over at it.
"Hey there! I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower," He screeches in his annoying squeak of a voice, "and I better teach you about how things work around here." He continues to drag on about your soul and how weak it is. Weak. And he thinks you're the naive one. You're amused and how idiotic you were the first time. How could anyone trust someone-or thing- in a place like this? Eventually, he stops talking about your 'soul' and says what you've been waiting for: "Go on! Catch as many as you can!"

You smirk and proceed to avoid all of these 'friendliness pellets'. You've been here before. You won't be hurt like that again. Especially to him. Flowey gets angrier, and he starts throwing more of these deadly pellets, almost making it impossible to avoid.

"You know what's going on here, don't you?" He grins. "Well then, you should understand by now that in this world, it's kill or be killed. D I E." Flowey lets out a hysteric cackle as a circle of pellets form around you and slowly edge closer and close toward you. Your narrow eyes get narrower as Flowey just continues to laugh, as if this game he's playing with you is just a comedy show.

The circle is now about a centimetre away from you, about to push harsh damage onto your tiny body. You don't care. You don't even flinch. You know what will happen.

A crackle, like the sound of fire is heard.

Just as you expected. Flowey lets out a painful yelp as this strong flame flings in unmercifully away. A warm, welcoming figure slowly edges towards you. "What a horrible creature, tormenting such a poor, innocent youth." The figures smiles down at you. "Hello, dear. My name is Toriel. I'm here to teach you about how things work around here."

Toriel says this as if you don't know anything. As if you are completely oblivious to everything that's going on around here. As if you're weak. The word 'weak' makes you shudder. Nobody wants to be weak. Especially not you, Chara.  You're determined to stay strong.

You follow Toriel to the entrance of the ruins, where you rush ahead of her and press the correct keys to open the door. "You.. My dear child. You are ambitious." She laughs slightly. "Ambitious yet intelligent. But this must of been simply luck. However, this is not the time to discuss luck. The ruins are dangerous and you must stay close to me. We wouldn't want anyone getting hurt, would we dear?" Toriel extends her arm and takes your hand.

She leads you through the through the now open door into a small room with a dummy at the end. "This is where I shall teach you about fighting. In the underground, you shall encounter many monsters. They are often reluctant to fight, so make a friendly conversation to make time and I will deal with the situation soon enough. I want to make you feel safe. Now, practice talking to the dummy." She smiles and gestures to a dummy in the middle of the room.

You stroll over to it and look at it. Immediately you're body is filled with a strong feeling. A feeling of power. A feeling of determination. You glance at Toriel and simply strike this emotionless figure. It immediately falls to the ground. Toriel looks at you in shock. "No no no! The dummies are for talking not for fighting." She says softly. "We wouldn't want to hurt anyone, would we?" You look up at her. Of course she doesn't know. She thinks everyone is as soft and as lovely as herself. How pathetic. What a boring world that would be. You continue to stare up at Toriel, not saying a word. "Indeed. That's what I thought." She smiles, "now come on. We must continue."

You follow her into the next room which is taken up by a small path and some switches. You attempt to run ahead of Toriel. Almost immediately, you encounter a Froggit. It looks at you, his innocent eyes sparkling as if you're a great inspiration to him.

You immediately slash it, killing it in one hit. Toriel turns around to see the lifeless body on the floor. "M-my child? What happened?" She says, the soft tone still in her voice. You look up at her, almost amused by her blindness. She doesn't understand. And to your delight, she doesn't need to. Why even look after you? Why care for the other creatures?

After all, she's going to be a victim.
