A/N: hey guys, here's the prologue of my new Perrentes fanfic.

so I won't usually work on this story in wattpad it will mostly be worked on in my notes, and I probably won't post it until the story it done but we'll see.

anyway enjoy the prologue...

PROLOGUE OF TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

"YES I WIN! FUCK YEAH!" Jaime cheered dramatically, shooting his fist up in the air and jumping up and down forcefully.

"NO! FUCK THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU TOTALLY CHEATED, VIC DID HE CHEAT?!" Mike cried, shooting his gaze toward Vic who looked extremely overwhelmed.

"ugh, I'm sorry Mike but Jaime won fair and square." Vic looked back at the boy who had frustration and disbelief on his face, and almost gave him an apologetic look.

"YESSS! NOW VIC AND I GET TO GIVE YOU A PUNISHMENT/CHALLANGE" Jaime was still yelling unnecessarily loud.

"no no it's okay, I don't have to help." Vic said shaking his head, clearly not wanting to get involved in the two friends "game" at all.

"that's okay, I already have one anyway. I planned it a long time ago because I knew I was going to win." Jaime snickered jokingly

"shut up! I only lost because you cheated. I wasn't prepared to play against a cheater" Mike said sounding playfully annoyed.

"dude I didn't cheat, I'm just better than you." Jaime smirked cruelly

"fine whatever. just tell me what your stupid punishment or challenge is." Mike rolled his eyes and waited for his fucked up challenge to be revealed. Jaime can has some pretty messed up ideas.

"alright so do you know that gay kid named Tony at our school?" Jaime's smirk grew bigger and consumed his whole face as he asked this question

"yes" Mike then waited for the worst possible idea to come out of his friends mouth

"well I challenge you to ask him out and date him until it gets pretty serious and break up with him." Jaime finally said

Mike's eyes grew wide and he glanced toward Vic, and saw the same expression on his face.

He looked away from Vic and focused on Jaime again. "are you fucking crazy! first of all I'm straight so I don't even know how I'm supposed to ev..."

Jaime cut him off "well you'll just have to fake it as best as you can"

The 2 boys turned their attention towards Vic when he started to speak. "not only is it very hard to fake your sexuality, that's extremely mean."

"why is that mean? he means nothing to mike." Jaime argued back

Mike did understand the reasons why this is very mean but he knew Jaime also did have a point. He's not friends with nor did he care about Tony so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

"what do you mean why is that mean?! how is it not mean?! imagine being asked out and falling in love with someone and then being told by that person that everything that happened between us was just a challenge I had to do for losing a stupid bet." Vic said, his tone of voice had slight anger in it.

"woahhh who said anything about falling in love?" Jaime said

"you know what I mean." Vic sounded annoyed now.

Jaime turned back to look at Mike. "we don't even know if Tony would say yes to him anyway. he probably wouldn't."

"hey! yeah he would." Mike said, sounding offended

"okay I have a better plan." Vic and Mike's eyebrows lifted in suspicion, wondering what other twisted ideas he could possibly have lurking inside his mind.

"alright, so it's pretty much the same thing just slightly different. So you're going to ask him out and if he says yes, you have to go on a few dates and hang out a few times, but don't let it get serious. After a little while you're going to break up with him, if he doesn't break up with you of course, and tell him it was all a challenge. oh and this will start sometime next week. Jaime explained, a cruel expression spread across his face.

"wait what the fuck?! you want me to tell him it was just a challenge?!" Mike asked in shock

"yes, but it shouldn't be a big deal though, Tony doesn't mean anything to you, so why does it matter?"

As horrible as it sounded, Jaime was right. Tony didn't mean anything to him, so it shouldn't be too hard to tell him.

Mike looked over at Vic one more time and looked at his worried expression once more before doing something he was most likely going to regret very soon.

"fine." Mike gulped, he was nervous as all hell.
