It was a really beautiful fall day. orange, yellow and red leaves swiftly fell to the ground around Tony, but he paid no attention to the captivating beauty around him. Instead he stared at his old, worn out vans as he made his way to his small high school.

When Tony arrived at his destination, he walked through the side doors and headed towards his locker. he took little notice of the rowdy students yelling and laughing in the hallway as he got what he needed out of his locker, and he went to his first period class.

Tony really hated school, he just thought of it as an annoying obstacle he needed to get past in order to start his life, he wasn't planning on going to college either.

He contemplated dropping out a few times but he knew it would just cause a bigger problem, so he pulled through school and hoped it would go by quick, which unfortunately hasn't so far.

After what felt like hours of math class, he headed to his second class which was history. Tony liked history more than math but he still hated it, he didn't necessarily enjoy any class to be honest.

There was only one thing Tony liked about school, and there were a decent amount of things someone could like about school. maybe they like the clubs, friends, or for some, the classes, but for Tony he liked a boy.

But this wasn't just any boy, this boy was very special in Tony's eyes. he had very dark charming features. he had dark brown shiny hair that he usually wore in a hat, he had sparking brown eyes, and a bright white smile. he also had a lot of tattoos which Tony normally would hate, but Mike somehow made him absolutely love tattoos, but only on him.

Tony has never spoken to Mike before, he just admired his outstanding beauty from afar. Mike was "cool" but he wasn't mean like stereotypical popular people, or so he thought.

When lunch time finally came, Tony ate lunch in his usual spot, which was the hallway by his locker. He didn't like eating in the cafeteria around so many people, especially when they were loud which they always were.

Today was a little different though. It was the same as everyday except the fact that Mike, his crush, and his friends were standing by their lockers instead of going down to the cafeteria like they usually did.

The strangest part was that they kept shifting their gaze at him. It was nice to know Mike actually knew he existed, but he couldn't help but feel like he was being judged.

He turned his head the other way to avoid their occasional stares, but turned back around when he heard footsteps coming towards him. When he turned his head the other way and saw the one and only Mike Fuentes hovering over him.

"hi." when Mike spoke, his voice sounded hesitant and shaky.

What was he so nervous about? Tony was just a shy kid at school, he should be the one afraid to talk to Mike, not the other way around.

"uh hi?" Tony responded in more of a questioning tone, wondering why a guy like Mike was speaking to him.

"can I uh, can I ask you something." Mike said sounded extremely uncomfortable.

"sure?" Tony was completely and utterly confused. Mike has never even looked at him before, and suddenly he was talking to him?

"alright, I know this is probably uh, really sudden but would you maybe want to go out some time?"

what the actual fuck? Tony was beyond confused at this point.

Was it a joke?

Mike is straight.

Through the many questions and thoughts running through his confused mind, he still managed to answer Mike's very abrupt question. He knew this situation was weird, but his crush just asked him out, his crush that he's liked since the beginning of high school, the guy who he thought was straight, just asked him out, on a date.

"yeah, sure." Tony was freaking out on the inside but he just smiled and zipped up his lunch pale, and stood up from his spot on the ground.

The tattooed boy gulped before speaking again. "g great, well how about tomorrow?"

Tony opened his locker and threw his lunch bag inside.

"cool, yeah sounds good." he said as he grabbed his books for his next class, and closed his locker before facing Mike, noticing how nervous he really was.

"alright, well here's my number." Mike said, handing Tony a tiny slip of paper with a number messily written on it.

"thanks." Tony grabbed the piece of paper and smiled when his fingers lighting brushed against Mike's.

Mike quickly flinched and gave Tony a shy, nervous smile. "uh, yeah no problem. I'll see you tomorrow."

Tony nodded and turned around to head to his third class, which was art.

Mike turned around and made his way back over to his friends with embarrassment clear on his face. Jaime was laughing and Vic looked worried.

What was he to do?

Maybe this wasn't a good idea.

Usually Mike hated English class, but today nothing would stop him from smiling. The boy Tony loved for years just asked him out and he didn't think he would ever be sad again.
