Chapter 3

I can't tell Peeta he'll tell Annie and I can't break another bad news to Annie I already gave the message that Finnick past if I tell her about Trident it will completely mess her up and no one to help her out like Finnick use to. I guess I am forced to keep it in to myself and try to forget. But I can't forget I saw that look in Tridents face it's the same look President Snow gave to me at the end of the Hunger Games when I defied him with the berries. Then I realized I can tell Haymitch he was my mentor after all.
I walk into the kitchen where Peeta and Annie are talking, Peeta is helpful around Annie, telling her what's true and what's not ; reassuring her. I'm walking to my fathers hunting jacket it's still in pretty good shape after all these years, I'm putting it on when Peeta interrupts
" Where are you going " ask Peeta
" To Haymitch's just going to swing by maybe take the liquor away from him for a while "
" But I thought you were watching the kids " said Peeta
THE KIDS!!! I run to the door where they last where. I see Rye crying, this isn't good. I run to Rye and ask him what's wrong.
" Trident , took , Willow " he says in tears
" Where did he go "
" Hovercraft "
" Stay there, I'm going in "
This moment I feel like I'm in the hunger games struggling for my kids survival. I go into the hovercraft chills running through me, my head spinning and I can barely think. What happened to the peaceful life we had before? The open the hovercraft door and walk in. I have no weapon to protect me nothing but my bare hands. It's silent in here which worries me even more. I turn the corner and I see Willow and Trident I'm relived that Willows alive. But it isn't peaceful, Willow is tied up to a chair with an apple in her mouth and Tridents tying knots in ropes. Just like Finnick. I untie Willow and she runs it my arms and hugs me and I'm not letting her go.
" I've been planning this out for years Katniss, it was always my plan to hurt everyone you love them leading up to u, but I won't be hurting you like the others I will be doing a lot worse mark my words. Just like you did to Finnick. I never even got to see my father because of you " said Trident
" Trident you don't understand it wasn't my fault, it was the capitals lizard mutts that killed him not me, The people who died because they trusted me and believed in me. Finnick would say the same thing if he were here" I say
" Well he isn't because you killed him " says Trident
" I don't know who told you what happened to your father but the stories aren't true, I was there I experienced all of it " I say
" save it For the death sentence Katniss I know what's true "
All that's going through my head is who told him and why did they change the story line.
