As I walked towards the office, pictures of how this would turn out started rewinding over and over in my head. I finally gathered up all my courage, and knocked on the corporal's door. There was only silence. But afterwards, the door started creaking open and I could see the corporal soon after. He was wearing his cleaning outfit.
"Tch. You're late, brat. Come in." As I stepped inside the office, I noticed a lot of things. I noticed how organized Levi was, and how much he cleaned everyday. I couldn't see a speck of dust at all. His desk was neat and clean and he must have done a lot of paperwork from the stack of papers on his table. "I have an mission for you. And I'll be going with you for it. We'll have to go to the forest nearby. There's been rumors that there's a titan shifter hiding out in the forest."
Oh my god. I'm getting assigned with Levi for a mission..!
As I tried to comprehend the words that had come out of the man with glossy gray eyes, I started thinking if this was the Corporal's way of asking me out.
Or maybe, that was just me hoping he did. I didn't know whether to be happy, or confused. I was actually pretty nervous about what would happen on this expedition.
And with that, I accepted the assignment, and left Levi's room without saying a word overwhelmed by what just happened.
