Chapter 3: Two-in-one

"Still can't believe we changed..." Jack said.
"I know...."
This is a really beautiful place, Tina thought.
"So. Where to now? We've been walking and all we've seen is snow and bare trees!!"
"Huh. I dunno. Maybe we should just keep walking and maybe we will find- AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
The ground suddenly fell and both of the two plunged into darkness....

"T.... Tina...? Are you okay...?"
Jack coughed.
"Nnn.... Yeah..."
"Where are we now...?"
Tina looks upward.
"Seems like we've fallen inside-"
Tina's words seemed to be interrupted by a conversation.

"Z! We've caught something!"
"I know. Let's go see. Don't become careless again like last time. That Goraan creature got free because of you."

Jack put his pointer to Tina's lips, telling her to shush, and they back up towards the snow-covered dirt walls.

There was a rustle of snow above as the surface was wiped off.
"Huh, Z that's not a Goraan."
"Yeah..... It's a weird... Creature I've never seen before..."
"Let's go check it out!"
"Wait they might be-"
The conversation was interrupted by a clack and other sounds of machinery.
The ground under Tina and Jack suddenly started to move.....
Upwards.

Jack and Tina hug each other as they rise to the surface.
"Huh? Weird I've never seen these types of creatures before...."
"Phyr! Why'd you turn the crank I told you not to these weirdos might be dangerous monsters!"

Tina opens her eyes.
Huh....?
These aren't..... Two people...
It's one creature...
With TWO sides?!
"W... Well... Hello there..."
Phyr waves shyly at Tina.
"PHYR GET BACK! She's PROBABLY DANGEROUS!"
"Z, calm down. She seems nice."
"Psst... Jack... Open your eyes, it's okay."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
He opens his eyes....
"What are those?"

"Hmph..."
"Aw, come on Z."
"Whatever."
"Hey, take my hand," Phyr said.
"O... Okay..." Tina said.
Tina took Phyr's hand and was lifted up.
"Th... Thanks..."
"What creature are you...? I've never seen you before....," Phyr said with a tilt of his head, and a dainty little smile.

"Um........"
"You look like someone from the 2-oriDIM....."
"Huh?"
"2-oriDIM creatures.... Looks somewhat like you or something.... But.... They all are different...."
Could he be talking about.... Earth creatures... Us? 2-oriDIM.... Huh. Weird name. Probably the "DIM" stands for dimension....
"OKAY PHYR, ENOUGH WITH THE CHIT-CHAT WE NEED DINNER AND THESE UNKNOWN CREATURES ARE GOING TO BE DINNER, GOT IT?"
"But, Z, you're so rude...."
Then finally, Jack speaks up.
"S..... Sir.... I mean... Dude.... I mean..... Mister? Ah, whatever. We'll help you find food."
"HMPH. YOU MEAN, YOU'LL KILL US FOR FOOD. GREAT."
"I.... In fact.. We actually don't need to hunt..... I... I've got somethin' for you guys.
Jack takes out something from his leather satchel, then offers it to Z.
"....."
"Well," Jack said, "do you want to starve, or not?"
"He's right, Zeph."
".... You sure you didn't put food poisoning in this?"
Jack shakes his head.
"A... Alright then...."

"Seriously Jack, a granola bar?! Tina whispered.
"What? You wanted to be spared, or die?"
"......"
"Hmm?" He smirked.
"Whatever, Jack...."
Tina turns the opposite way and blushes intently.
I hate it whenever Jack's right..... He looks... Cute when he smirks like that....

"Mmmmm.... Yum..."
"I have to agree, Z, this thing tastes really good!"
"Yeah... I'm sorry... I misunderstood you two..."
"Nah, it's okay," Tina replied.
"Yeah."
"........."

-AWKWARD SILENCE- (and sounds of munching)

"Alright. Looks like we have to return the favor..."
"Yay! You're finally being nice now, Z!"
"SH... Shut up..." He blushed.
"Anyway, welcome to the Country of Snow Cov, fellow.... Uh.... What exactly are you?" Phyr said.
"We're.. Humans," Jack replied.
"Hoo-mans?" Phyr said.
"No, 'HYOO-MENZ'," Tina corrected.
"Hu..... Mans... Humans... Humans!!!"
"Yes!"
"Oh, Phyr. We didn't properly introduce ourselves. I'm Zeph, the older brother. And,"
"I'm Phyr, the younger brother!"
"Together we make the name, Zephyr!" They said in sync.

"How'd you guys fuse? Were you guys born like that or som- OW!"
Tina gives Jack an elbow jab at his shoulder and whispers,
"KINDA RUDE! This ISN'T Steven Universe, dum dum."
"Sorry," Jack whispers back.
"Excuse Jack for invading your guys' privacy. You don't need to tell if you don't want to!"

".. Alright then."
They took turns speaking, starting with Z then Phyr and Z and Phyr, and so on.
"There once was a wizard that was very famous in this world that you two fell into."
"He thought everyone was lonely...... So then....."
