Percy Jackson meets the Kanes

Chapter 2

I'M BAAAAACCCKKKK!!!!! I know how much you've missed me. LOL JK..... Anyways.....here is chapter two!! Enjoy!

SADIES POV

Demigods? What in the name of Ra are demigods? I thought as we flew over New York. I looked to Carter for help, considering he's the smart one, but he looked just as confused. Finally, we landed. I got off the chariot and looked around. It looked like we were in the middle of nowhere. Just a bunch of hills, and trees. The choppy haired girl- Piper grinned at my clearly confused expression.

"Where are we?" Zia asked.

"Look really hard. Concentrate." Annabeth instructed.

I looked so hard, I thought I must've looked constipated. "I don't see anything." I told them.

Percy started towards a large hill, and when he got to the top, he seemed to disappear. Annabeth, Piper, Leo, and Grover followed.

"You coming?" Nico asked. He kind of looks like Anubis.....

"Yeah. We're coming." Jaz said.

We walked to the top of the hill, and where the others disappeared, we were stopped.

"Wha-" Walt said. Nico reappeared.

"Oh, sorry." He chuckled. "I Nico diAngelo, give Sadie, Carter, Walt, Jaz, and Zia permission to enter Camp Half-Blood!"

Well, that's a raciest name. I thought to myself.

"Well," Nico said. "Come on in!" He exclaimed.

I held my breath and walked up the hill..... and I felt nothing. I opened my eyes, and looked around once more. To my left, was a large pine tree, and on its lowest branch was what looked like a large golden blanket. Around the base of the tree was what I thought was a pile of purple cables. I looked In front of me and, wow. There was a valley that I could've sworn wasn't here when we arrived.

"Whoa." I breathed.

Inside the valley there was a large blue mansion with a wrap-around porch. There was a bunch of cabins, the largest ones were shaped in what looked like an Omega, the smaller cabins were arranged in two rectangle shaped wings on either side. There was a canoe lake, and a volleyball pit, and a, oh Khufu would love this, a basketball court. There was what looked like an amphitheater, and some sorta enclosed arena. I also saw an archery range, strawberry fields, some woods, some kind of broken dirty building, and a dining pavilion with no walls.

There was a clear blue sky, and it was really warm.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood guys." I jumped when I heard Percy beside me. I didn't realize he was standing beside me.

"So, you want to know what demigods are don't you?" Piper asked.

"Duh." I replied.

"So, have you heard of the Greek gods?" She asked.

Uh-oh. Not more gods! I thought. Carter and the others seemed to be having the same thoughts.

"Well, they're real. Demigods, well we're their children." She told us.

That was unexpected. "So, you're not like, possessed by gods right?" I asked.

The demigods looked so horrified, I was trying hard not to laugh.

"Uh, no! Why would you ask that?" Leo exclaimed. "'Cause that's weird, and that's coming from me!"

"Well, I asked that because, being possessed by gods is not fun. Especially when you get turned into a bird, and it takes you a whole day to get back to normal!"

At this point the demigods were looking at us like we were complete lunatics.

"Um, okay." Annabeth said slowly.

"Let me explain why my sister said that." Carter said. "You know the Egyptian gods?"

The demigods nodded. "They're real, too."

"Go figure." Percy muttered.

"What Sadie said about being possessed is: The Egyptian gods don't have kids. Instead, they possess the bodies of mortals. When our father, um, died-"

Suddenly Annabeth gasped. "Your dad is Julius Kane!" She shrieked.

"Um, yeah." I said. I never really got to know my dad. I only ever saw him twice a year. Carter was the one that traveled the world with him.

"Sorry." Annabeth blushed. "I just, he's so amazing! I've read all of his books!"

"Annabeth here is a child of Athena. Goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, and the Olive tree. Inventor of the loom." Percy infomed us.

"Who's you parent?" Jaz asked.

"Poseidon. Lord of the seas, earthquakes and creator of horses." Percy answered.

"Why don't we all tell our godly parent?" Piper suggested. "My mother is Aphrodite, goddess of love, and beauty." She said.

"My father is Hades." Nico said. "God of the dead, and Lord of the Underworld."

Yep. Definitely like Anubis.

"My dad is Hepheastus, god of blacksmiths, fire and the forge." Leo said.

"I'm a Satyr! Lord of the Wild!" Grover exclaimed. Then, he ripped off his pants. I just about had a seizure. He didn't have human legs. He had goat legs. I have to say, that was certainly unexpected.

"Y-you have donkey legs!" My oh-so-intelligent brother stammered.

Grover looked very offended. "Goat!"

Carter winced. "Sorry." He muttered.

"So, can you show us around?" Zia asked.

"Sure. Carter, Zia, you guys come with me, Annabeth and Grover." Percy said. "Sadie, Walt, and Jaz: you guys go with Piper, Leo and Nico."

Then a giant dog like the ones that attacked us in Manhattan jumped out of the shadows. Carter pulled his crook and flail, and everybody else took out their wands and staffs. "Back to the Underworld I go." Nico muttered.

Carter looked at him funny. "That's my pet Hellhound: Mrs. O'Leary. It's okay, she's friendly." Percy explained. Nico hopped on the large Hellhound's back. "Bye guys." He called. Then he whispered something in Mrs. O'Leary's ear, and she ran towards a tree. Right before they got to the tree, they disappeared.

Percy shuddered. "Shadow traveling. It's fun, but absolutely nerve wrecking. Come on-we'll give you a tour of camp."

Then we started walking down the hill. Piper and Leo walked around, showed us the woods, the archery range, the sword fighting arena, and so many other places, I couldn't remember them all. Finally, we got to the cabin area. There were lots of cabins. Leo explained how they organize they're campers here. .

Then, Leo's watch beeped. "Sorry, guys. I've gotta go work." He winked, formed his hands into a peace sign, and ran off to what I think was the forges. Then he came out of the forges and went into the woods.

"Why is he going into the woods?" Walt asked.

"Bunker 9 is in there. It's like the forges, but it's a cave that's a couple hundred years old. Only fire users like Leo can open it." She explained.

We just nodded. "Okay. I've got to go grab some armor from my cabin. You can follow me and meet my siblings if you want."

"Okay." I said. We followed her to a pink cabin that was covered with perfume. I coughed, and when Piper looked back she laughed. I must've made a funny face because she said, "You get used to it after a while." We walked in the cabin, and at first there is silence and then I heard squealing. "SADIE!!" Someone screamed.

"Huh?" I said looking around. Then I was engulfed in a hug. I pulled the person off of me. When I saw who it was I smiled. "Lacy! Hi!" I exclaimed.

"What are you doing here?" My friend asked. Then she gasped. "Are you a demigod?" I shook my head. Lacy looked confused. "Then how did you get past the borders?"

"Long story." Walt said.

"Hey Walt!" Lacy said. "I see you're feeling better!"

"Um, yeah." Walt said uneasily.


"So, you left the dance at school a few weeks ago. What happened?" She asked.

"Yes Miss Kane." Said a voice behind me. "Where did you go? And why are you here?"

Uh-oh........

Guys I'm really mad at my parents right now. I keep asking my mom to take me to Barnes and Noble to just let me sit there (maybe with a coffee, they have a Starbucks there!) and read, but she won't take me, and she won't buy me the book either. I have no money. *Le sigh*
