Today is the day, inside I could feel the flowers on my back. When Luke and Jacob and also Miranda came and got me and Jukebox to the trailer and head down to the track.
It was not that far away. Since we live about a half an hour
When we got there we were unloaded and went to the barn for a while.
Luke and Miranda came and got me. Miranda tacked me up and Luke took me out to Jacob. I could not stop bouncing. I could not wait to win this race. I was going to too.
Out of no were it started pouring. It would not stop but the race was still on. The track was sloppy too.
"Riders up" I heard the announcer say and as soon as Jacob got on Luke told him the plan. It was to go out front and keep the lead but don't run me out. At the turn for final stretch I was going to take off. I would not stop bouncing which caused Jacob to reach down and scratch behind the ears and whispered I now u can win but take it easy boy.
I was loaded in last and down the boxes I saw no one I even recognized. They were all new I saw this white one and oh boy he looked good. He was my only worry but no madder what I will win.
RINNNNNG
I took off but I remembered the plan and slowed a bit but kept a lead. The white which I learned his name was Phantom of the Track, he started to gain and so did I and I kept the lead. We turned to the final stretch and I took off now one was stopping me now. When I crossed the wire I won by 10 lengths and I headed into the parade ring with the flowers on my back. I saw my self and only my legs were muddy from running and everyone else was covered head to tail.
Next I am going to the Preakness. I later remember from the story he told me when I was a colt. That he won the Preakness just like I did. I could only be luck. I won the Derby and he won the Preakness they same why which will result in another Triple Crown Winner.
