Chapter 2

Lola got in her car and texted her long time friends Monae, Jade Roma and Antoinette asking them to meet her at their usual spot, she started her car and drove there as well. When Lola arrived she noticed they were already there, she entered the restaurant and greeted everyone. She walked to the table where they were sitting- and where they always sat when they came to the little café' style restaurant- and she took her seat while acknowledging each of them.

Monae: " So like... what's up? I mean we only meet here when something is wrong."

Antoinette: " Yeah, is something wrong with Envy? Is the whole separation thing going bad, are yall divorcing?"

Jade Roma: " Un Uhh! I cant take it if yall get a divorce. Or you know if something was wrong with lil' Navo'j.

Lola: " No yall, everything is fine. You know except for the fact that my best friend's half a day old fiancé' came to my house and kissed me while I was naked."

Monae: " Wow! So like what happened, I mean you just told us what happened but like why and how?"

Jade Roma: " Yeah, who is he do we know him? Cause if we don't, I'm accusing you of having a secret affair with one of your best friends boyfriends.

Antoinette shook her head.

Lola: " Jade, calm down. It's just Buddy, my Buddy. And you'll know that we used to like each other way before him and Nicole been goin together, but he came over my house and we were talking because he thought he was making a mistake by marrying her. He was asking me for advice, and so I was trying to help him by understanding what he was talking about. Then this morning when I went out to my car, there was this note taped to my window.

Lola read the note aloud.

Antoinette: " Okay, so what about the whole he kissed you naked?"

Jade Roma: " And yeah, why is this a major problem?"

Monae: " No wait, do still have feelings for him? Like is that why we're sitting here right now, because your best friends fiancé kissed you and you're in love with him and have been since the day that yall met?"

Lola: " Well damn! Monae just like read my mind."

Antoinette: " And your heart."

Everyone laughs except Lola.

Lola: " I don't find that funny. I'm so serious, but we have to hurry up I have go get E-Man, Symone, and Monet from school and Envy from day care."

Monae: " Okay but we goin talk about this later, all of us. Plus I do have to go and get my child too."

Jade Roma: " Alright, so we goin meet here tomorrow at the same time?"

Antoinette: " I'm good for tomorrow at this time, but I have to go get my car out the shop in like 25 minutes so we have to wrap this up."

Lola: " Okay so I guess I'm going to see yall tomorrow."

Everyone hugged each other and left the restaurant, Lola phone rung as she got in her car and she answered it.

Lola: " Hello?"

E-Man: " What's up sis, where you at?"

Lola: " I'm on my way now.'

E-Man: " Oh, so where you taking us? You was like you wanted to take us some where as a gift for our graduation."

Lola: " Yall going shopping and out to eat, why? Does it really matter where yall going, as long as yall spending time with me right?"
