“So you never cheated.” Allison asked.

“Nope.”

She let out a sigh of relief, “Good because for a second there I thought that would be the end of our friendship.”

Allison and I were sitting on my couch with some sodas and chips. “That would be horrible.”

I had never thought that if something went wrong with Matt and I that Allison wouldn’t be my best friend anymore.

“Yep but on to a different subject, who’s this Christina? And why is she coming over?”

“Well I’m going to set her and another guy up, but first she might need a little make over for the date.”

I had called Danny and told him the date would be tonight.

“When’s the date?”

“Tonight.”

“What? How long do we have?”

“Maybe two hours.” I looked at my clock. Allison jumped up and ran to her bag taking out her make up kit and other accessories. “She should be here-”

Ding! I heard the sound of the door bell ringing. “She’s here!” I ran to the door and opened it.

Christina stood outside. She was freakishly itching one of her arms and I could tell she was nervous.

“Christina!” I smiled. “Come in!” She was hesitant at first then walked into my living room. I shut the door and turned only to gasp.

In those short thirty seconds Allison had set up her make up and a chair. She also had a blow dryer and a bunch of other hair products.

“Uh Christina this is my friend Allison. She’s going to be your young fairy godmother tonight!”

“Very young fairy godmother. Hi Christina please sit.” She gestured to the chair.

“A-are you sure your mom would be okay with me being here?”

“Maybe not but she’s on some business trip remember?”

“Oh yeah. I set that up.” She sat down on the chair and loosened up a bit.

Allison stood in front of the chair and looked her over. “Stand.”

Christina jumped up and Allison began to measure her. “Okay this wont do…the clothes I mean. So…your going to take a shower while I find you something nice. Hay, Le do you now where their going tonight?”

“Uh Danny said some restaurant…the Black Dot.”

“Really?” Christina looked like she might faint. “He’s going to take me there.”

“Yeah…is that a good place.”

She nodded so fast I thought she might pass out from getting dizzy. “Okay…uh follow me.” I ran up stairs and she followed. I grabbed a towel from our closet and handed it to her. “Bathroom is right down that hall…when your done there’s also a robe in there.”

She nodded and slowly walked down the hall. I don’t blame her, if my mom was her boss I would feel like I was on the enemies territory going to her house.

I ran back down stairs to see Allison putting on her coat and shoes. “All where are you going?”

“I’m going to Kohl’s really quick to get her something to wear.” I wasn’t worried. Allison went to Kohl’s twice a week so she had everything memorized. She would find what she need thirty minutes top.
