The black dragon under the Moonlight

Chapter 1

~*~ Miyako's POV ~*~

'How long has it been since I've been in this prison that I am suppose to call home?' I thought to myself as I bring my knees closer to me while staring off into the distance. After I heard the commotion from yesterday I suddenly have an aching feeling through out my whole body. 'Whose here? Why do I sense the four dragons near by? What do they want?' I thought again as the chains rattled slightly. 'How can I forget? both of my legs are chained down, I can't use my legs or my body, they stopped bringing medicine after my first attempt from escaping.' I thought again.

~*~ Narrators POV ~*~

Footsteps could be heard from the outside, even though Miyako lives in the outskirts of the Sky Clan she is also not too far the the castle as well. Miyako's eyes darted to the door, sensing the Yellow dragons presences. Slightly tensed she quietly waits, hoping for the Yellow dragon to leave since Miyako gave up hope for her master. "Yona! The black dragon is here." an unknown voice called out from the outside. Cursing under breath, Miyako slightly dragged her legs closer not moving from her spot. Letting her bangs cover her red eyes, avoiding any contact once she heard the door open. 'I guess its night.. I can see the moonlight trying to come in.' she thought.

Silence was the only thing that can be heard in the house, even though there is space between the group and Miyako there was no sign of Miyako wanting to speak up. "Black dragon, your master is here why are you not greeting her?" A voice called out, Miyako looked over and can tell it was the White dragon who broke the silence. 'Master? I have no mast-' Miyako's thoughts were cut off when her red eyes laid onto Yona's purple ones along with her red hair. "Warrior of the black dragon. You are now our other halves. You will serve Hiryuu as your master, protecting him with your life. You will love him, and never betray him" The black dragon spoke in her mind as Miyako felt her blood boil, shaking as she held onto her head. Pants can only be heard from Miyako, confirming that she is the black dragon that they are looking for.

"W-Who are you?" Miyako's timid voice trembled slightly, can't take her eyes off of Yona. "My name is Yona and these guys are Kija, Shinah, Jaeha, Hak, Yoon, Zeno and Ao." She introduced everyone, Miyako looked at them taking in the information. "Whats your name black dragon?" she asked with a gently yet warm smile. Silence took over again as Miyako is silently debating herself. "Miyako." She said as Yona and Yoon sweat drop. "She reminds me so much like Shinah." Yoon and Yona thought to themselves. "Miyako, please come with us. I'd like you to lend me your power." Yona said as she took a few steps closer to Miyako. "Why? I'm a monster, I'm cursed and.. I can't leave. I'm chained to my own home." Miyako muttered out as she finally looked away from Yona.

After a few moments of silence Shinah walked over to Miyako and raised his sword to cut her free from her chains. Looking at the blue dragon surprised by his action, Miyako looked to Yona then slowly rose to her feet. Holding onto the wall for support since she doesn't remember the last time she got the chance to stretch her legs. "Ok Yona.. I will go with you and lend you the power of the black dragon." She said then looked at the group then made her way to the bed and picked up a cloak similar to Yona's but black. "Wait, first what is your power Miyako?" Yoon asked Miyako wondering what kind of power does the Black dragon possess since the black dragon is forgotten in the legend. "I can run really fast and change my apperance." Miyako said as that caught some peoples interest in her special ability.

"Hey travelers this place is forbidden you mustn't step foot in- when did you get free you monster? Is this how you show your respect after you killed your parents!" One the villegers raged as the young man pointed his spear towards Miyako. "I'm not a monster" Miyako thought, not even phased with villager. "Now is that anyway to treat a lady, you should learn to respect them." Jaeha spoke up and took out his kunai and pinned the villager to a near by tree. "We should go before the rest of the villagers come, they won't hesitate to kill trespassers once they step foot here." Miyako said then walked ahead, leading them away from the village so they don't run into trouble.

"Miyako!" Yona called out once Miyako stopped and turned to her once they were far enough away. "Where are we going princess now that we got all of the dragon warrior?" Hak asked as he leaned against a tree not too far from the princess. "Let's head back to Iksoo and see what we can do from there." Yona said with a smile then looked up at the sky. "Let's camp first since it is getting late. Shinah, Miyako can you two look for fire wood for us?" Yoon asked as he looked at the two quiet dragons. With a nod, both Miyako and Shinah went off in a random direction to gather some firewood to camp for the night.

Silence hanged over the two dragons as Miyako and Shinah look for firewood, Miyako looked over at Shinah then went over and took half of the firewood. "Shinah, why do you wear a mask?" Miyako asked since she has a feeling that she may relate to the blue dragon. A moment of silence stood, Miyako had a feeling that he is thinking of a way to reply to the question, "because I am cursed, people in my village says that if you look into my eyes you turn into stone." He answered to Miyako as she looked at him confused, "that isn't true is it?" She asked again as Shinah shook his head and went back to picking firewood. After some time from gathering firewood, Shinah and Miyako returned and noticed that Yoon is scolding Zeno over something. As they set the firewood down, Miyako sat far away from the group, still feeling uneasy by suddenly going from a lonely dark house to being outside where there is light and a group of friendly people. "Is this where my fate lies? Mizuki going through all your abuse, you're wrong these people accepted me and not running away in fear.. Is my happiness here?" She thought as she carefully observe the group in front of her.
