Animal Changers

Chapter 1

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I went to school that day. I got up early Friday morning to go to school because today was a special day. It's my birthday. I was turning 18 that day. Little did I know what was gonna happen.

Hi, my name is Grace Louise French, and I am in my senior year of High School, Central High School to be exact. My best friend Lillyana, or Ana (for short) and I were going to the sweet shop before we went to school today. She is like a sister to me, Ana and I have know each other since we were born. Her mom, Sasha, and my mom, Hanna, knew each other, until they both went missing 10 years ago. 

We both live together now, we rented a small house close to the school. After school,  we work at a small little bake shop near the school. Anyway... After getting way off topic, lets get back to my story.

I got up early so that Ana and I could go to the sweet shop. I got dressed in my usual Jeans and T-shirt, and walked out the house with a slow Ana behind me. She is not a morning person. 

*** Time skip  I got my bold to work, yay!***

Walking into the sweet shop, I smelled the air. " Butterscotch, my favorite " I said, I looked at the woman at the register, " Hey Sally " I said, looking at her eating a bag of blue jellybeans. ' Happy birthday Grace, here you go, just a little present from the shop ". Sally and I have known each other for years. She kinda took me in when my father left me. Until I met Ana, I lived with Sally and her son. 

Going into High School Ana and I lived with each other in our apartment. 

" Thank you so much Sally, I don't know where I would be without you. " I said giving her a big hug as she walked around the small counter. I opened the bag and there was some fresh butterscotch candies. 

" And from Ryan, your second present " She handed me a box, it was tiny about the size of my hand. " He said he would have loved to give it to you in person but, he did give me one word of advice "

" Do not open it until 12:00, he said it more than once, so it must be important " She looked at me with her mom stare, telling me it's important. " He said what ever is in there, there are two of them, one for you and one for Ana " 

She walked back around the counter, and smiled at both of us. " Tell Ryan I said thank you " Ana said from across the shop, she was snooping in the Red Vines. Sally giggled, and shook her head. She is the kindest, and sweetest person ever. Not to mention that she knew my mom before she went missing. 

I looked down at my watch, and saw that school was starting in 15 minutes. " We have to go Sally, thank you so much! " I gave her a hug, and started to walk out of the shop with a sick looking Ana behind me. 

" Remember not to open the present until midnight " She said " Love ya girls " 

" Love ya to, we won't forget " Ana said waving off to her. 

As we walked out the sweet shop, I looked at Ana and we started running to the school. 

A/N

Hey guys! The first chapter or 2 will be a little muddy, but the next thing I upload will be character back stories. Did anyone catch the Percy Jackson reference? I always end my stories like this, so AS ALWAYS!!!
