My name is Blake Wolfgang. Before you ask, yes, I am a girl with a boyish name. Jeez... The day they came into my life was basically the same: get up, take a piss, take a shower, get ready for classes and hope that someone will adopt you. Well, not me. I honestly don't care if I get adopted. I mean, c'mon, I'm the oldest kid at the St. Mary's Orphanage in Dallas, Texas. I'm 17 years old, and I was dumped here when I was not even a year old. No one wants me. And if they did, they should have came by now.
I sat in my room with my little sister, Jessica, and my best friend, Isaac. Jessica isn't my biological sister, but I consider her one since I take care of her most of the time. She's three years old, with long, curly brown hair, pale skin, and the prettiest green eyes. I found her when I had my free day, abandoned in an alleyway, in a cardboard box with the thinnest blanket covering her body. I was beyond pissed at whoever her parents are. I mean, seriously! It was 13 degrees outside, and the streets were covered in a thick blanket of snow. Of course I took her to the Orphanage.
Isaac is a year younger than me, with a light tan, brown eyes, and black hair. He came here when he was six, his dad dropped him off. Okay, more like kicked him out of his pickup and sped away. Isaac was like an adorable little brother to me. He was so funny, and weird. Oh, God...
Most of us at the Orphanage were unwanted. No one liked the kids 14 and up. They went for the adorable, and cute babies, tots, and pre-teens.
Today was my free day to go to town and do whatever I want. I decided to take Jessica with me, so I had to dress her. I put on my usual outfit, a Fallout Boy t-shirt, jeans, boots, and a hoodie. I threw my hair into a messy ponytail, then I turned to her and put her in a light blue sweater, black leggings, her brown Uggs, and French braided her hair. I grabbed my wallet and my skateboard, and walked out the doors.
I skated to Target with Jessica on my back, and walked in, and basically power walked to the CDs, and video games section. I grabbed an Adele 21 CD, and Maroon 5's Overexposed, and followed Jessica to buy her a toy or candy.
There we were, I was sitting on the carpet while she looked at the stuffed animals. She pointed in between a cat and a puppy. "Mommy, can I get-" I stood, picked her up, and balanced her on my hip. "That one?" She pointed to the purple puppy. It was only 3.99, why not? She grabbed it and hugged it close. Yes, Jessica calls my mommy, but she's the only one who can.
As we walked back to check out, I heard a bunch a girls screaming, and turned to see a mob of them go by. "Weird." I thought, but purchased the things we got, and went out to eat.
