Chapter 17

We arrived at my parents house and pulled into the drive way. I helped the twins out of the car with Luke by my side. We walked to the front door as a family. But before I could ring the doorbell my mom answered. "Oh Aidelinde dear so glad you could make it come in , come in." She said as she ushered us and led us to the living room where my little brother Aiden who is now a teenager , he's 15. "Hey Aiden how are you?"I asked as I took a seat on the couch. "Great, how are you Aid haven't seen you in a couple of year's." He said smiling. " I know Aiden and im sorry I wanted to come back but you know I  couldn't." I said sadly. " I know Aid I  was so angry when I found out what Tom did, but I couldn't do anything I was just a small pup." He said looking down at his lap. " It's okay Aiden. " I said while lifting his chin up. 

I looked at Luke to see him talking to my dad and my dad seemed to like Luke which warmed my heart. "Luke , honey where's the twins? " I asked. "Don't worry babe your mom took them into the kitchen to bake christmas cookies." He said smiling.  I  smiled and left to the kitchen. "Hey mom!" I said as I walked into the kitchen. " Oh hello dear, Saphira I  want to stir in the sugar with the flour and Liam I  want you to pick out the christmas cookie cutters." She said as the twins nodded. "  I see you have your hands busy with the twins." I giggled. " I am there great kids dear , you taught them well." She said. " Thanks mom!" I responded.  "Are you and Luke staying for christmas this year?" She asked with hopeful eyes. " I believe so, I  actually have a surprise for you and dad." I said while biting my lip. " Well what is it dear? " She asked while stir something the pot. "You'll have to wait till dinner." I said. " Okay dear, dinner is almost finished anyways just a few moments. " She said while adding some last minute spices. " Can I  help with anything?" I asked as I rubbed my hands together. " Nope why don't you and Luke go spend time with your brother and father." She said. " Okay mom." I said as  I walked into the living room and see everyone smiling. "Hey Aide you picked a good one here. "Dad said." I agree! "Aiden said. 

We chatted til mom called us to the dinner table. We all took our seats. Before we ate we each shared anything that we wanted. Now it was my turn. I squeezed Luke's hand and stood up. "Mom, Dad and Aiden, I  know you haven't meet Luke until now but we have been dating since the twins were born and he was there every step of the way , which I  am truly grateful for , so which gets me to what I  have to say next me and Luke are getting married." I said while looking at everybody.  All of a sudden the doorbell rings and my brother goes to answer. Then we hear him growl. I walked to the front door to see .........! What are you doing here?
