Three

After driving, I was noticing a lot of the animals were lying down, I smile stopping off to the side and Apple and I got out walking to the pregnant Apatosaurus laying down. Apple barks and runs ahead as I walk. My hair was still in a messy bun with my sun glasses on. I could hear the staggered breathing coming from the Apatosaurus, I felt something wrong with her, I ran up to her and touched her stomach. I felt nothing moving in her stomach and I sigh, I put my ear to her stomach and heard two little heartbeats. 

"Okay girl..." I murmur out and walk up to her as she leans her neck down and lets out a little noise and I smile. "You're getting so close girl, I don't think you're quite that ready. Maybe another day or two and then we'll have little ones in no time." I explained. She softly makes another noise and lays her head down on my stomach and I giggle. "I know, I know, you're getting anxious and so am I." I pat her head and she leans back up. "Don't worry, it's soon."

"..."

Static came through the radio and I grabbed it hearing it slowly. Owen made sure I keep my radio tuned in to any channel, I put it up to my ear and I heard it.

"There... Asset... Containment..." I blink a little trying to hear what they were saying. "Asset... Containment..."

"Code... 19..." I went wide eyed and ran off whistling for Apple to follow, Apple barks in the distance and then I hear her running towards me, I jump in the jeep starting it up and headed out quickly, only to find a little Gyrosphere rolling around. I felt my phone vibrate and I looked at it seeing Owen's number. I blink and answer it. "Owen what..." I pause, and gasp. "I will let you know, I see a lone Gyrosphere out here I'm gonna try... Stop, I've been here awhile, I can take care of myself..." I sigh and smiled. "Don't worry Owen, I'm gonna make it out alive." I take the phone away from my ear hanging it up and quickly ran that way with Apple behind me.

Running through the trees, I was trying to make it before something happened to those people in the Gyrosphere. Hoping they weren't in trouble, when I finally saw them, I hid behind a tree to make sure no one saw me. Not the animals and not the dinosaur that was out of containment. Apple stays behind me and I turn to her quietly and whisper to her.

"Apple, I need you to find Owen and show him where we're at, alright?" Apple nods quickly nudging my hand as I pet her head and she quickly runs off. I turn back and watch the scene unfold in front of me. Biting my lip tightly almost drawing blood. I heard them scream as they went further away from me.

I quickly run behind them staying behind the tree, and hearing the Anklyosaurus' roar trying to defend themselves. My eyes were holding worry in them, hoping the kids will be okay. I gasp quietly when the new dinosaur cracked the Anklyosaurus neck. I tear up a little bit but I saw the dinosaur head to the kids and I grip the tree, hoping to get them when the dinosaur opened the Gyrosphere. I hear the phone vibrating in the sphere and I begin to tense up. I grab my phone and see 2 missed calls from Claire. 

"Shit..." I mutter under my breath putting it back and hear the kids scream again. I turn to see them out of the sphere and I run to them quickly and touch their backs a little. They look at me frightened, and I tell them hurriedly. "Go! Go!" We all run away from the dinosaur. And try to get away from the predator chasing us.

When we got out of the forest they stopped in front of me, and they looked at the dinosaur again, and it was chasing us. I push them forward to make them run. After sliding to a stop, we all look down and I look back seeing it roar again.

"Alright, kids we need to jump!"

"I can't..." The young one whimpered and I sigh and touch his shoulders.

"I believe in you, kid." I told him. "One, two!" I pushed both of them down and I jump myself but not before I got teeth on my leg and we land in the water and I hold my breath. I grab both of the kids hands with one of my own and I hold a finger to my lips and pointed upwards. They nod slightly and keep under the water a moment. When I felt like it was safe we began to swim up to shore and I hiss in pain looking down at my leg.

"You jumped." The older one was very proud and the young one smiles and nod. They look at me as I ripped of some of the shirt around my waist and tie it around my leg lightly. "Thank you Ms... Who are you?"

"I'm  Ashlynn," I smile back holding back the pain in my leg.

"Do you work here?" The older one asks.

I nod. "Yeah, I help with the dinosaurs all around the park to make sure they stay healthy, although," I paused and looked back. "I never encountered anything like her before." I shake my head. "What are your names?"

"I'm Zach, and this is Gray." The older one, Zach, introduced themselves. I smile and nod, and they look at me. "What do we do now?"

I began thinking. "Let's get out of here, before something happens and that dinosaur comes and finds us."

They nod and we began running off.
